Imo the desk is the most important piece in the office so choose that first, find one you love . Waht purpose with that cabinet serve in the space . In such a small space I would try to go with most office type stuff in the closet , go wireless and maybe keep that cabinet for a few books and a coffee pot for those long days. I also think it really depends on your business and what you need to be a t hand all the time or is most of what you do online. The more info you give the better help you will get. For instance that Hooker furniture would make me crazy way too dark, way too cluttered looking and no where near enough desk space .

I’m glad you find it amusing. The accent chest will be use for my papers my books and my filing. It was a gift. I have not yet picked a desk because I don’t know what would be ideal for the space. I guess, thanks for the feedback

Having had four home offices over 35 years, I find it not amusing, but disappointing when posters don’t share info on the actual needs for storage, workspace, etc but expect people to design the perfect office. No where in the original post were we given the information about the “accent chest” as a gift or the piece fulfilled all the storage needs of the needs of the particular office and must be used.

@Maureen Moreno, I believe you misunderstood Patricia. IMO, which is what she was saying, means "in my opinion". She's asking for more information on what your work requires in the way of equipment, etc. Do you work with a laptop only or do you use a monitor, keyboard, hard drive, etc. Does your work require a landline phone or do you not use a phone in your job? Do you need a lot of desk space for large amounts of paperwork in front of you? Do you need storage for papers, etc. in the desk? Will you be meeting with other people in your office? Are you comfortable in a regular chair or do you need an office chair on wheels? Do you need close access to other types of materials that won't fit on a desk? Answering those questions will help you get suggestions as to the best type of furniture for the space.

The intent of my post was not to be criticized. I tried to provide as much information as I could. If additional information was needed that should’ve been asked. Replying to my message by starting off stating “lmo” In opinion was rude. Glad to hear you’ve had four offices in 35 years. This is my first office at a home setting that I’m trying to piece together. All I’m asking is for opinions and suggestions From the professionals but not to be criticized for lack of information
