Which grass for sparse sunlight

Wayne Smith

I live in southeast Missouri (zone 8) and have Bermuda grass. My house faces east and I have a few trees in the front yard that over the years have gotten quite large. The Bermuda between the road and the trees is very healthy. But my house is tall and there are areas between the trees and house that barely get any sun. In winter and spring I have a lot of bare spots. Right now those spots are full of goose grass. Is there a grass that I can plant in those areas that will thrive in the shade and complement the Bermuda.? If so, when should I plant it? Thanks.
