We were in a similar situation and just did SW origami white. It’s neutral, not yellow and doesn’t look “too white” in our house. Give it a try!

If you share pictures of your space, you might get more suggestions. Even though we can't really trust colours on our screens, seeing your space will give an idea of your style and might spark colour recommendations. Green is considered a neutral and can be quite versatile for some interiors. A colour like BM French Canvas, for example, is a light neutral with green in it. You might not be limited to whites or greys. Have you looked at greiges like BM SIlver Satin or Balboa Mist? They can read almost grey or beige in a certain light but never yellow. Do you know what your current beige/tan is? Knowing it might be a good starting point for a pro.

Here is what I have now - unfortunately I don't know that the color is. We are getting ready to do all new furniture, rug and curtains in great room along with stoning the fireplace and painting the weird one side built it:) I do plan on keeping the blue and just repainting all the neutral.

Is that Natural Cream on the bottom samples to the left of your fireplace and in your dining room? It looks good on my screen. A warm white that's lighter and fresher than your current wall colour. What colour is your fireplace surround and built-ins? Looks green on my screen.

Btw, rather than testing colours on the wall, I've adopted the trick of painting small inexpensive art canvases with my test colours. This way I can move them around the room (or paint a canvas for every wall) to see how I like the colour on every wall throughout the day. Bonus is I can keep them for future projects.

The lighter color to the left of the door in the dining room is winds breath and natural cream is to the right of the door. Where you see painted areas - which I have done in numerous places - the lighter one is winds breath and the one next to it is the natural cream. The cabinet is a gray brown and I was thinking about painting it whatever color I paint the wall - at least the top portion of it - so that it doesn't stand out so much.

I missed where you said you were planning on stone for the fireplace. I now see the samples at the bottom of your fireplace. I have to say your wood fireplace surround looks very good to me and I wouldn't change it. It's classic, unobtrusive, and can easily adapt to decor change with a new coat of paint. If you're going with stone, it would probably be best to choose that before the wall colour because it's a fixed element that will inform the wall colour.

As for your two test colours, I prefer the lighter of the two in every pic but what matters is what you see/feel irl and how well the colour complements the fixed elements, like stone, you might add in the rooms.

Winds Breath can be a nice choice depending on your lighting. It looks good on my monitor but that's not a good test. If you want a darker neutral you might check SW Canvas Tan shown here.

In my home, a very soft white, that doesn't read too warm or too cool to me, is SW Neutral Ground.

BM Classic Gray is a warm vanilla, not quite white, not quite gray, but no yellow tones. Goes with every style. I did it all over my house, some areas that get a lot of light, some that don’t (like hallways). It’s perfect.
