We stayed in a lovely inn that had a lighted vanity mirror in the bathroom that I absolutely loved. Thinking I would try to copy this in our own home, I took careful note of the other lighting in the room. There were no pendants, and the only other lighting was overhead recessed lighting in the shower and toilet area, which were separated from the vanity space. I found the lighted mirror more than enough lighting for applying makeup and husband’s shaving requirements, and personally wouldn’t add more. You might consider overhead recessed lighting by your toilet and shower, however.

Without photos, I am going to semi-guess here, but if you have recessed in the bathroom, you probably could go with sconces on the full length mirror, they will provide the proper fill light for applying makeup or shaving. Overhead light creates shadowing on the face. If you decide to do this, then the sconces must be selected, placement on the wall determined and the mirror laser cut for the opening to the electrical box. You cannot install sconces on a mirror after the fact, you will crack the mirror. Builder should understand this, but discuss it in detail.

I agree with everyone who is saying no to more white, but with that lovely tile, a "pop" of colour doesn't seem like the right adjective. Also, a white to go with that tile may be difficult to hit accurately. Perhaps you can see in your photos the difficulty in getting whites to match. The current colour of the boards (primer?) has a yellow undertone that isn't sympathetic to the white in the tiles, which is quite cool in its undertone. One way to get around that dilemma is to go slightly off white, in this case, in the direction of the veining. A colour like BM OC-30 gray mist would give the walls a blush of colour while still remaining reflective and would absolutely work on the ceiling which should definitely be the same as the walls in a case like this. You could then do the vanity in a slightly darker like BM HC-170 Stonington gray working off the veining colour as suggested earlier. This atmospheric colour and the tile you have chosen tend to create a spa-like feel which would be lovely in this space. Good luck with your project!

I have a Tech Lighting Lufe 48" fixture that emits 3444 lumens. The Lufe is so bright at full power that you could shoot a movie. Your light emits only about 10% less. I am certain that you do not need any additional lighting. Be sure that the Radiance light is dimmable and install a compatible dimmer for it.
