I'm no designer. But personally, I'd prefer a darker vanity, especially with the vanity being midpoint on the wall; white in the foreground, as well as white in the background.

While your colors aren't finalized, as the room looks now? There's nothing that pulls my eye through the room.

I prefer dark also.

IMO the “pop” of color could be the wall paint but a nice wood vanity not too dark could also work. I also would not do a shower curtain , just a nice glass shower screen

I'm interested in hearing your ideas about a "pop" of paint on the walls!! I haven't purchased any paint yet, so am open to ideas. Since the room is small with no windows, I wasn't sure how much color to put on the walls. We'll need to paint the vanity. It was custom made, and has been primed, unfortunately. MS Paint. Just open your photo in Paint and then select a color & use the tool highlighted below. Set 'Fill' as Marker so the paint color is not solid but lets your cabinet lines show through.

I haven't had any success with MS Paint. Maybe because I have Apple? In you opinion, would you recommend gray wall with white vanity or white walls with gray vanity?? Unfortunately, I have no sense of color and am finding this finishing part of my project to be the hardest. Can you help?? Thanks you, Liz

I would keep the walls white so they blend better with all the ceiling angles, and due to the small area of the room. I would use a deep gray on the vanity, taken from the darkest color in the veining. It will ground the vanity and give some dimension to the space without closing it in.

If you arent having luck playing around with colors in MS Paint, you can also upload your photo on the SW website and paint it there. It is very easy.

I like the shiplap in Alabaster, why dont you do the walls and the ceiling in Alabaster? My masterbath is all Alabaster, with trim in Highly Reflective White. HRW is VERY white. I dont think I would like it on walls. My vanity is red, I went for major pop LOL. Something like Brainstorm Bronze might look good in your bath.

I don't think the walls and the ceiling need to be the same white - a little variation is fine. They look good in the photos as they are. Even if you used the same paint, the different textures and angles would make them look different.

What about a fun pop of color on the vanity? Navy blue or a really deep, dark green?

I agree with everyone who is saying no to more white, but with that lovely tile, a "pop" of colour doesn't seem like the right adjective. Also, a white to go with that tile may be difficult to hit accurately. Perhaps you can see in your photos the difficulty in getting whites to match. The current colour of the boards (primer?) has a yellow undertone that isn't sympathetic to the white in the tiles, which is quite cool in its undertone. One way to get around that dilemma is to go slightly off white, in this case, in the direction of the veining. A colour like BM OC-30 gray mist would give the walls a blush of colour while still remaining reflective and would absolutely work on the ceiling which should definitely be the same as the walls in a case like this. You could then do the vanity in a slightly darker like BM HC-170 Stonington gray working off the veining colour as suggested earlier. This atmospheric colour and the tile you have chosen tend to create a spa-like feel which would be lovely in this space. Good luck with your project!
