Saw that this morning. It’s especially sad since they had a great marriage, so rare in show business. All the fame and money in the world cannot spare you from such a tragedy. Very sad.

I wondered if they made it known when she was diagnosed. With great joy comes great sorrow. They certainly have had both.

I read she wanted it kept private.

i also read Elvis’ grandson committed suicide. Some people fight so hard to live, others don’t want to . So sad.

Very sad. I can't help but wonder if it was kept quiet because Scientology doesn't approve of traditional medicine. I feel, very strongly, that they lost their son because that cult wouldn't allow him to be treated properly. I hope the same is not true for Kelly. She seemed a sweet, lovely woman.

I think even HAVING an imperfection like Cancer/the son's autism is against their beliefs!! No doubt they consider it an imperfection that makes them not "one of the chosen".

John Travolta thanked MD Anderson Cancer Center, so she must have been receiving traditional treatment.

I thought I remember reading that they had left Scientology..but maybe not.

I, too, read that Kelly had been getting treatment from MD Anderson.

This was such sad news.

This is very sad news. For me it's the same no matter who dies at a young age from a cause that involves intense personal suffering for themselves and their family. A real tragedy. I wish her family well to cope with this loss.

Having said that, there's no getting around the fact that John Travolta is one creepy dude.

Very sad.

I had no idea she was sick and was surprised to read she had died. 57 is so young. Seeing what cancer can do to someone, I feel for her and her family. She is at peace now. I hope her famiy can heal quickly from their grief.

Very sorry to see this news. Their family certainly has had their share of tragedy having lost their 16 year old son a few years ago. Money and fame doesn't protect people from suffering and pain. I wish them peace and strength as they deal with the loss of Kelly.

My heart goes out to the Travolta family. My mother died from metastatic breast cancer when she was 56. I was 20, just like Ella Travolta. My brother was 14 -- 5 years older than Benjamin Travolta. I know what that family is going through, and it's rough. Many prayers for them. 💔

I heard about this last night . So heartbreaking to hear of her death. I always felt the Travolta's were not part of the Hollywood elite. They seemed to be more down to earth than most celebrities. John Travolta is a wonderful actor and I love him in a comedy especially. It's so sad that he's lost the love of his life. and the children have lost a wonderful mother.

Very sad indeed. I read about it this morning too and also a lovely tribute from their daughter.
