What are your floors? The white gives more contemporary look. It looks nice. Are your countertops beige or grayish?

I think they a white or gray with speckles heres a picture. I was thinking of painting a light gray or blue gray

Unless you have a comprehensive color and design plan..keeping the walls white ....is less limiting ....leaving all other color choices more open for decor..accent walls..furniture ...etc...no need to forgo something you love because it doesn’t go with the walls

You are welcome. Notice I said sample. Put on foam board or order samples from samplize.com. Well worth it. Do not paint on your walls. Samples are different than gallons and most have satin finish. That creates problems having to paint over them on walls. So please do boards. You can see them on different walls in different light conditions. Pick 2-3 chips and then try getting samples you like best. Colors will look stronger with whole walls painted.

You need to have the back splash installed, the floors uncovered, and all your furniture in before you decide on wall color. The walls need to relate to your living room furniture if you decide to use a color since you have an open space. The white is nice in the kitchen. If you add color through furniture, a rug, and artwork, you might like the white walls.

I would leave the walls alone until you have backsplash, appliances, etc in place. Warm it up with runner and colorful accessories, maybe some art and live with it a while. If you feel like it needs color on walls, you can do that later. White is way versatile and you need to get a feel for the adjacent spaces and how the light and furnishings work there before picking a color since the whole open area must relate well between spaces.

I think you should consider some more detail around the cabinets as it is an open concept...maybe soffits or crown moulding?..the cabs look pretty basic as shown.....have you selected hardware?...

A plain subway black splash will accentuate the lack of detail/interest ...in the cabinetry ...as well...

I would go for sleek but not basic...
