enduring - our shower is 5' X 5' which is wider than one planned here. If they got the right kind of vanity, similar to Ikea's Godmorgon (which we used), it is floating, they could get beneath to clean there. If their countertop guy was able to cut the counter so there was no lip on the side where the glass is installed, seems like counter could be butted against glass and caulked above and below and along front to "seal" middle part. But still a bit risky considering caulk needs to be resealed periodically since it isn't meant to last forever. Would kind of spoil a shower (if it was mine) if I had to look at "junk" along that glass wall though at least it wouldn't be obvious when walking in the door. Also, houses usually aren't exactly level, could be some movement between vanity and glass - might not be a good thing :(

we have 1/2"x 44"x 80" panel siliconed to a narrow return; door is hinged to the wall (similar set up as in the link that pharoah posted. No clips at the junction of the 2 pieces, which I think I would have preferred. The large panel is set to the curb and wall, but the return wall is just set to the curb, and the "free" end of the large panel. It's beautiful. I must say that watching them install it, and now looking at it, it makes me nervous, but they are very reputable, got multiple references for this company, and the guy was so meticulous, watching him work made me smile. We have bumped it a bit just to make sure it's ok, while still warrantied, so to speak. g_hgray- the setup you mention I believe leaves a bit of a "lever arm" with the outside corner just sitting out there, which would make me even more nervous than I am about my set-up. Can you see if that is a reasonable install, if a good company would do the same?

I was also going to suggest that the doors are not installed level. On the older style of slider or bypass doors you were able to adjust the roller bracket to bring to doors into level. I'm not sure what adjustments are available on the newer type of slider, which I assume is a set of rollers which roll on a bar. I would start by checking the level of the bar.

Local glass company will have these fabricated for you. Off the shelf will only be adjustable and no where near the quality.
