I've used them on two cats. They weren't too bad to put on, but having a helper to hold the cat for you is helpful. Here is how I put them on: 1. Have helper hold the cat while you trim the nails. 2. Have the helper hold and pet the cat to keep it calm while you prepare the Soft Paws by putting the super glue in 5 of the caps. Be careful not to over fill the caps or you will glue the cap to the cat's skin. (Having them already glue-filled makes it easy to get them on the cat quickly.) 3. Put the Soft Paws on one of the cat's paws. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all the paws are covered. The cats don't like them, at first. So, the caps don't last as long because the cat will work on pulling them off. You have to check them once a week or so and replace the missing caps. After a month or two, the caps will start lasting longer because the cat will leave them only to come off naturally. The caps are expensive, but they do work. Good luck with which ever method you choose.

I have a great ebay story.... I have both bought and sold, but my favorite was a family bible that I found on Ebay, with a lot of genealogy information in it. I wanted to purchase it for my cousin for Christmas. We are both genealogy nuts, and this bible was from his direct family. As it goes, this huge coffee table bible was a steal at $25.00 but at the last minute, some person came in a we went head to head on this until the price reached $75.00. I had to stop because it was out of my price range, and I was honestly sick to my stomache that I had lost this priceless piece of family history to who knows? I was crushed to say the least. I sent the person an email the next day and told him that I was crushed, but could he possibly photocopy the family info in the bible for me for my family history? Turns out he is a pastor that re-constructs old bibles in his spare time. He said he would sell me the bible, for his cost on one condition....that he would fix the binding and the brass lock on it and mail it to me in perfect condition. I was thrilled ! I got the bible, it was about 8 inches thick and about 100 years old. A real beauty. The pastor would not allow me to pay him for his work or shipping. I sent the bible to my cousin after Christmas, but it was truly a wonderful ebay experience after all. Trin

Lake girl, my hugs and deepest sympathies to you. I lost my mom in 2010, but after the worst of the grief, I found her again by spending time doing the things we enjoyed together and bringing her along with me in my heart. As Mitch Albom says, when someone you love dies, you don't end your relationship with them, it's just that the relationship changes. Re decorating mojo, I think even most plants need a resting period before they can bloom again, so it is with decorating. And when you come back to it, it's with a fresh and welcoming eye. I've kind of stopped my projects too, diverting myself with the wedding veil and now a dress for myself to wear. So the creative process continues, but just in a different direction. But after 7 years of house design and 3 years of building and another year of landscaping, I think it's time. I will get back into it though via lists. I need to wander around the house and start making lists of thing, big and small, that need to get done yet. I still haven't made the drapes for the DR, and there's that small strip of wood under the door in the FR that never got painted that annoys the heck out of me, and I want to try and faux finish the grate on the stone wall by the wood stove....

I am just so obsessed with this look and all the products in it. Would love to know if anyone here has comments on any of the pieces in the photo - most of of what I've read is very positive in terms of the quality but new to the brand and would love any specific feedback on these pieces/fabrics before taking the plunge. My good friend owns a large Jones sectional in Oyster Linen and its very comfortable gorgeous but thats my only in person exposure to the brand. They have a pop up show house in NYC/TriBeCa in August which I'm hoping to attend but kind of don't wait till then to place my order and besides not even sure what products will be on display there! Any thoughts on Perry Chairs in Nubuck, Muir Sectional Sofa, Morro Large Table and Mott Stool in Shearling. TIA!
