Our new dahlia

These were on my gate... they are really tiny.

maire, I've never seen a dahlia like that...the leaves are different too...

Annie - It's not the dahlia as described on the plant information tag either. DH brought it home from our local nursery and it was described as a 'prolific double white flower named after Marie Curie'. In cool weather it might develop green streaks on the petals. Whatever happened - I'm delighted with it.

Ah I see it is clematis...says so on the label you posted...and a really pretty one!

A few years ago I saw this sunflower standing proudly among the weeds in a meridian of a supermarket.

It was at night, and not the best photo.....

Oh my! Yes it is a clematis. I have no idea why I called it a dahlia, except mine were drooping this morning from yesterday's heat and I had to do an emergency watering.

In the immortal words from West Side Story.....

My Japanese Pieris blooming last March. We had such a mild winter, it bloomed early. I‘m enjoying these photos.

Desert willow

I love going by the Sunflower fields and noticing how different times of the

day they have followed the sun and their heads have changed directions.

There used to be a large field of them back home that I passed a couple

of times a day.
