Brad, I remember height being an issue occasionally, not too often. Not a high bud count. I went out and counted earlier. For some reason I only have 3 scapes, several fans to the clump. The best one had 9 buds, the other 2 had 7 ea. Maryl, both have held their color in all day sun, but then it has not been really hot since they started blooming, low 80s. So good to know that Exotic starfish is a good plant, Kay. I hope mine shows off as well as yours does in time.

I am not sure who is the seedling Queen today. There were several nice ones, but none that just knocked my socks off. Ok, I have decided that this one is seedling Queen. It is actually our daughter's seedling. It is Cosmic Sensation X Absolute Ripper. It's a big flower on a good scape. It will be saved. This is (dentity Crisis X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy) X (Back Draft X Tet. Rose F. Kennedy or Heman). Maybe I should have named this one Queen. This was gorgeous its first year and then awful last year. Now it's back to gorgeous. Bob loves it. It will be saved. I like this one. It is Triple Cherries X (Wolverine X On Your Knees You Will Find Him). The sun was at an angle, which made it hard to get the true color. The scape on this one was very short (first year to bloom). I hope it gets taller. This is Wolverine X (Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You). More to come . . .

I like your cantaloupe orangy colored seedling. I wish someone would hybridize one in that color that would be sunfast in the heat...........Maybe it was you, but many many years ago someone posted Caribbean Whipped Cream on this forum and I looked for years trying to find it. It still is a beauty.........I grew Kansas Kitten the one year I got rust. I thought it had missed it, but late in the autumn it caught up with it too. I had to pitch it. Because of our climate, it didn't have the pretty purple colors you and others show on it, so I wasn't too sad to see it go....................Maryl
