BTW here where so many people grow their own tomatoes, I only have planted 80 this year (28 are late planted for late tunnel). The first year I marketed in 2009 there was a bumper crop of maters. I had no idea how many I would need for market. I think I did about 80 then for just the one market and no CSAs. Well I had a super hard time selling them! Many were tossed. I set up a roadside stand and sold some. So now I am much more conservative about how many tomatoes to plant. Also at market two vendors sell canning tomatoes way cheaper than I can afford to so that outs that possibility. I have even had some CSAs say they get too many tomatoes. Anyway my crop this year is doing great. Nothing ripe yet but many have fruit which is great for how late a year it has been! Absolutely no disease problems either. Thanks! :) Before today, the most powerful power tool I'd used was my stick blender. Or maybe my Kitchenaid mixer. DH is so handy I'd never had any cause to use power tools, but I'm trying to pull my weight here. So I sawed a few sticks of wood. You should see what he did today!!! (Pantry shelving system, still unfinished, but I'll post pics when he's done.) marti8a, I really lucked out. I was looking for "project boards" (described long ago on GW by bob_cville) at Home Depot. The nice guy in the lumber section of the store had never seen what I described, but happened to have a scrap of 1/4" plywood. He ripped it into 17 2.5"x30" strips for me and charged me $0!! I went to the dermatologist last week (which is why I had to return to L.A.) for a melanoma follow-up. This was a six month follow-up, and I was supposed to go in for a three month follow-up, but I was stranded in Cathedral City. My doctor agreed that it was okay that I waited the six months, but he told me to come back in three months. He did have to freeze something on my scalp, and it seems like he always finds something, and so this is an issue I have to deal with on a regular basis. The melanoma I had removed six months ago resulted in a number of stitches on my back, but it healed very well. I avoided the sun when I was a child and never sun-bathed until I was in my 20s in San Francisco, and then only for short periods of time, as I got bored very easily. However, I did go to Mexico every winter from 1975 until 1984 while I lived in San Francisco (and spent one to two months there - generally Jan - Feb) to avoid the cold damp winters of SF and the resulting sinus infections that I was prone to there. While I avoided sinus infections by going to Mexico for the winters, I may have exposed myself to too much sun, although I did wear sunscreen. I don't think sunscreen in the 1970s was strong enough, however, and I did not want to wear it when I went snorkeling in Cozumel. I am still putting off going to the dentist, as I think I am doing a decent enough job of cleaning my own teeth, and I do not think it is worth the risk. I will go back once I am able to get a Covid vaccination. My temperature, as taken at the dermatologist's office, was 97.1°, and so I am like Maifleur in that I may have a fever when my temperature is 98.6°, but I've noticed that my temperature varies throughout the day and is higher after I've been in the spa.

Heavens, kathsgarden. The number one location for home fires is the kitchen and the number one reason is unattended cooking. One should never leave the kitchen with anything cooking on the cooktop at higher than a simmer level, and especially not hot oil. I never get two immunizations at the same time. In the unlikely event I should have a reaction, I would want to know the cause. Sometimes when a syringe event burns when going in, it's because the alcohol wiped on the skin to clean it has not dried. For my first C immunization when they were first available some years back, I got Moderna's. I had a sore arm and felt lethargic for the next 24 hours or so. Subsequent ones I've steered clear of Moderna and gotten Pfizer's instead and have had no reactions at all.
