Awkward TV location -- living area not suited to socializing -- help!
Comments (13)is there any way you can get longer window coverings? you have beautiful crown, and a very nice window, but those drapes are really too short. The rod should be hung higher and the drapes need to hit the floor I think you'll find it looks a lot better if you try it. and also, that current arrangement, sorry, it just looks awkward. the tv is too far over (I know you have to clear the door) and the sofa is blocking the fireplace, and it's off center (Plus, only the front portion of the sofa should be on an area rug of that size) I just think you could find a better fix. this is an entry way and shouldn't be used for the tv wall. ....See MoreHappy (social distancing) Easter!
Comments (12)Hope everyone had a good Easter, making some happy memories during these dark times. Saturday a nursery within our neighborhood gave out plants to all the residents. The initial limit was three, but by the end of the day word got out to take as much as you want or they’ll be thrown out. So I loaded up, mainly hyacinths and azaleas in full bloom. Today we and many of our neighbors were out digging holes for our terribly rootbound loot, seemingly none of us knowing more about gardening than the next. I’d like to think they’ll look pretty for a couple days but a storm is rolling in with warnings of 50-70 mph winds so I’m not too hopeful. I got a lot of cleanup done as well with the kids’ help, and my daughter decided she loves gardening. Great, good to have at least one in the family! A socially-distanced quick visit with my parents, then a zoom gathering with my wife’s family where we played a trivia game. The game theme made it a lot less awkward than other zoom parties I’ve been on - highly recommended. We did a bit of baking and cooking over the weekend, anything we didn’t get to we’ll spread out to next week’s Orthodox Easter....See MoreHappy (social distancing) Easter!
