Thanks Elizabeth for the laugh you are supposed to have your nose behind the mask. Living in an area which most years the temperature is near 0F and wearing glasses that is a quicker way to fog up glasses than breathing through your nose. More moisture is exhaled from one than the other.

The article requires signing in so did not read it. Most of the suggestions I have seen are more area specific. What would work in some areas will not work in others. However I do have a suggestion. Do not put your glasses on when they are still wet if you use something like alcohol or other things that evaporate.

The other day while visiting the hospital pharm. to refill a prescription I saw a lady sitting in a wheelchair outside the door near the traffic lane.

She wore a mask that covered her mouth but her nose was outside the mask.

I wanted to ask her whether that is the way that nosey people conduct their activities in these days with their many restrictions.

But she might have been suffering from pain or any of a number of restrictions so I did not intrude.

Sometimes in the midst of major pain or other stress some humour causes a laugh and reduces the pressure - but may well add to it, so must be offered with care and consideration, and not to a stranger in passing.

Didn't notice whether she was wearing glasses: maybe I was the one in the fog.

Fogging
also will be less of a problem as summer approaches and outdoor
temperatures get closer to the temperature of your breath.

Moni now: I wear glasses. I have tried and had success with putting the glasses ON top of the fabric... also, I put a folded tissue over the nose, changing where the expelled air goes... down, instead of towards my glasses, and sometimes I just pull them downward on my nose.

It's a mess, but can be handled.

You know what I heard? I was at the garage waiting for my car, sitting outside, talking to a lady about this very thing. She told me - use shaving cream on your lenses! AND, not men's shaving cream, but lady's shaving cream. She said she tried it and it works.

What??? How can that work? Or was this tip in the link jakkom posted which I didn't read.

I read that you could wash your glasses with soapy water, don't rinse them, just let them air dry. I could see that being similar to the shaving cream idea. I wasn't able to read the article.

I only wear my glasses for reading, so I've been using the folded tissue lining the top edge of the mask. It does help, but if I look down, I still get some fogging.

A nurse tried seven different methods for keeping her glasses fog free. At least for her it helped her choose the method she was going to use. I usually just try to see through the fog. Most of the time it's temporary.

There are anti-fog products you can buy.

Decades ago I had a pink stick that really worked well...but alas it's long since disappeared.

The soap/shaving cream/ shampoo method does not work on glasses with an anti-glare coating. Nor do cleaning sprays that say anti-fog.

I have anti-fog products that I use for my swim mask and goggles.

Since making my fabric mask....the fabric is cut low, under the eye. There's room for my sunglasses. No more fogging. It "was" a problem with the pleated style of mask I was wearing.

I was going to say that....as a joke......... I've used them ALL scuba diving. Spit or dish soap ...use your index finger to apply it ...then scoop up sea water for a final swish....put on mask. ☺
