Hi Honeybasil, I'm sorry the Wythe Blue didn't work out in your rooms... I think it was probably my LR/ DR photos you saw . I have to believe it all depends on the light you have in your particular room. It doesn't look at all baby blue in my rooms... much more of a green-blue. My living room gets sun all morning, and the dining room gets late afternoon light. The color does seem to change throughout the day, which I really like. Looking forward to seeing your Misted Green walls!

Igloochic, Let me put it to you this way ... the National Trust (Royal Historical Preservation Society of hte UK) use Farrow and Ball paints. How's that for historical relevance? ;-) If you have a historical home it will almost certainly have been built pre-WWII in a time when walls got a lime, limescale or clay were the primary components of a wallwash (limewash or whatever it was called). Well, lime and clay are the base of F&B's paints because they've retained those practices giving acrylics a healthy miss. Because of F&B's close ties and close associations with the UK National Trust, their colours by and large are "period" colours. So both in formulation, colour offerings and material - they retain their historical ties. You'll be emulating not just the colour but the original finish surface of your house. Their most traditional wall finish is their "Estate Emulsion" - the most matte. If you truly want a traditional trim finish, you'd use the oil but given how stinky oil is (and it truly is stinky - we just had our front door painted in oil full gloss so I can attest that it *stinks*) you may want to stick to their newer eggshell formulations - not historically accurate but low VOC and you can breathe!. You can order from their website a fandeck as well as the paint sample pots you'd be curious about in order to determine if you like the color - these sample pots are Estate Emulsion, so you'll get an idea about this Estate Emulsion finish and what you think of it. To check the colour: I will tell you that they do use so many different pigments in their paint that you don't get a very good sense of the colour you'll get until you make a very good sized sample board of it. I've got about half my house painted in F&B at this point in time and frankly, between loving the colors, loving the finish and being absolutely ape over the fact that it gives off NO smell, its a no-brainer that I'm sticking with them. Give it a shot online - I think you'll really like their paint. The sample pots are quite inexpensive for what they are so even if you decide not to use 'em you're not out much in a financial outlay. BTW, there are a few F&B aficianados on the board - Pirula, Rococogurl and amysrq, aside from moi, to name a few.

I agree that will pretty dark by the time all the cabinets are in. If you like the color maybe choose it for just the base cabinets and do white on the wall ones

Anya, I took a look at your Ideabooks and there are no photos at all for bedrooms! We are really grasping at straws at this point as there isn’t enough info here! We don’t have trim color, photos of interiors or bedding or furniture! You said you are doing the downstairs in BM classic gray which is a very light, neutral gray. You haven’t returned so we can’t really help without feedback! Here is a pic of CG and SS next to one another, hope this helps and good luck!
