Really nice house, potentially, but, as is -- because of the way it is painted -- it actually looks like two houses pushed together.

Would repaint all the painted siding surfaces to be the same color and paint the trim a darker color or a darker shade of the same color.

Examples:

a medium brown for the siding and a darker brown trim

or

a light or medium gray with a darker gray or black trim.

Would you replace everything? Including the brick?

No. The brick brick will stay. But some of the siding and trim are rotted so we need to repaint or replace those parts. We just tore out a several old ugly holly bushes and other old over grown shrubs. I’m struggling with how to paint? Light, dark? We just hate the current color and have to do something now to stop further rot and damage.

I went to check that out and I really like the green. Thank you!

You might consider a light post in the planting area where the sidewalk curves -- perhaps a solar light if it would get enough sunlight.

If you're choosing between the colors you already have, the brown goes better with the brick.

I would consider replacing the arched window with an appropriate casement window, and remove the odd trim work (lintels) above your garage (?) windows as you rework your exterior. Your home is lovely.

Would keep the brick-- it looks really good.

The brown in the forward facing gable on the right side -- entry door side -- looks best with the brick.

The gray may well be the trendy color of the day but the brown -- not boring -- that you have around the entry actually goes much better with the brick. Using that brown over all the rest of the painted surfaces on the entire house will make your home more classic than trendy (in my opinion, a much better look).

You don't even need a different/contrasting trim color.

What is needed is the two parts of your house to ... match itself by making the colors of the center and left side of your home match the right side your home..

You already have a bit of Tudor trim/styling so I would continue that direction.
