My husband is chomping at the bit to paint it white. I know that my daugher will most likely have the door open all/most of the time. My gut tells me since it's a very large closet (almost another bedroom in itself) and has lots of light, that I should go with a color (maybe the same color as the adjacent bathroom which is Turquoise Mist (Porter).

I wanted to update everyone. Thanks for all your replies. I order two of the James R. Moder fixtures on Mon. I found a coupon for $30 off so that helped. geokid--I realy like deep purple. A sparkly light would be so pretty. beaglesdoitbetter--thanks for the links. I really liked the Elisa one your posted. It looked almost identical to the James Moder one and the price was good but there was something about the James Moder one I kept come back to. Your comment, "they sparkle like no other" made my decision even easier. patricia43--glad you like the fixture. It's also good to hear from someone who has it. Enjoy it in your closet. kswl--I like your idea of using recessed lights. Never thought of that. At least they could be added down the road. The ceiling is wired for two lights and there is a window in there. The closet is good sized, 12'10" x 14.5 so I hope two lights don't look like too much yet give off enough light. jmc01--I checked and it's no problem. Annie--Each light takes (3) 40 watt bulbs so I hope its bright enough. Springroz--I can see why you got addicted! cat mom-- Very pretty light. I will be watching for pictures. No, the MB does not have accent colors. We're not really doing the MB. It's been the same color for 10 years (sort of a pale cream with a pinkish undertone) and we're not planning on painting the room just yet. If we did/do repaint the MB, we are likely to keep it a very similar color. We're doing this closet room now because in January we will be redoing the master bathroom which is on the other end of the room from the walk-through closet room. The general scheme in the master bathroom will be creamy tones with the dark walnut cabinetry and -- I'm hoping -- accents with very pale blues/bluish purples/silvery blues, sort of like the blues found in oyster/mollusk shells.

I honestly would just do white and good LED 4000K lighting so what you put together will look the same outside .
