Comments (4)If you want to keep it really sleek looking, you may want to consider asking the cabinetmaker to route the tops of the drawers with a groove to be used as a handle. This is more common on stained pieces then on painted however and I might be concerned about the painted finish. I would probably start by googling images of dressers with flat front drawers to get some ideas about what you are looking for. If you had an inspiration handle we will help you find it. I had a cabinet with drawers made for my laundry room, the drawers are flat/slab front and the cabinet is painted gray/green. I used flat black T-knobs. And I do think they dress it up. I wouldnt completely rule out bar pulls either, this West Elm dresser has flat front drawers, uses bar pulls and is pretty 'sleek' IMO...See MoreNeed help adding different wood furniture to master bedroom
Comments (5)If you look at the floor color in the 2nd photo you posted, if you can find a complementary style to your furniture, in a similar color and finish to that floor, I think it would work with your black furniture. Or here they mixed a bit darker wood with black: Gray works here with some black and cream accents: Maybe a med wood tone with black metal accents:...See MoreDesign help for Master Bedroom
Comments (36)Here are my suggestions: I think the orientation of the rug is correct but could be pulled forward about 8-12 inches. I would honestly recommend painting the walls! I found the color Revere Pewter by Ben Moore to be a beautiful warm and cool neutral. A round mirror above the tall dresser to raise the height in order to match the height of the windows. This helps the piece feel more like it belongs there. More info This lamp on either end table: More info Stick to white or off-white bedding in something full. Adding euro pillows will also help to add fullness to the bed. The way you dress a bed can really alter the way the room feels overall. Here's a duvet that we carry that I think would be perfect: More info Add color with a quilt or additional comforter on the end of the bed as well as in pillow shams. Use blues or a light taupe, or a mixture of the two. Heres a great bench option! Maybe in a dusty blue velvet :) More info For drapery, choose a color that matches the wall color you end up with. It does not need to match exactly, but be in the same family whether its slightly lighter or darker. Artwork is personal! If you can find pieces you love, then two side by side above the bed would work best. Definitely make sure you take measurements of the width of the head board so you do not exceed that width when hanging the pieces, and leave a few inches between the two. Good luck! :)...See MoreMaster Bedroom - White Walls - Distressed Black Bedroom Furniture
Comments (4)You may want to start saving inspiration rooms you love; it will really help if you have a direction. I would purchase the rug fist vs bedding and cushions so you have a style to build on. Be sure to use various colors, patterns and textures so it feels more interesting The headboard is high and I think art above each night stand would be more complimentary and use small brass lamps for a modern look. You could add the sign on another wall If you need a bedskirt, a more tailored style would feel more modern Dresser and tv wall - mirror, plant, chair, art, baskets...See Morehumbleandkind
