Curb appeal for Half brick half siding exterior
Comments (8)Please add another picture set. Line the camera up with the center of house and while standing there, take slightly overlapping pictures from left lot line to right lot line so we can see the surroundings/setting. For sure you need a wider walk. The raised bed is not deep enough. Are you up for redoing?...See MoreSiding color help for yellow brick home!
Comments (1)I don’t think having each half be a different color is a good idea. Maybe paint them the same color (yes, consider painting the siding the color of the brick). These homes have yellow brick, but they are more charming (sorry) because they’re one material. Landscaping would do wonders, it always does. Paint the front door a fun color, make the front more inviting. Inspiration for beauty, appeal and colors: LOOOVE the red with the brick. Never would have thought of it, that green tile roof looks spectacular with the brick. A whole street of yellow brick homes....See MoreExterior Design & Color Help (2-storey Half Brick - Half Siding)
Comments (8)Ha, ha. Aluminum siding really is wonderful. The only reason we painted ours was because it was a horrible color, that fake redwood color. So very dated even 20 years ago. You should probably power wash the siding. Once the shutters are down, I'm sure their prior location will be noticeable since it will have no dirt underneath except for those bugs who have built their home there over the years (at least ours did). We were told that the only reason to replace aluminum siding was if the wood underneath was rotten due to water damage. If you don't have any leaking from your gutters, you are probably okay. If you ever do replace it, take it to a scrap yard for $$....See MoreChoosing a siding color for my brick house with siding in the middle
Comments (11)Our brick is very similar to yours. It took me forever to find a siding color I liked with the brick and our gray roof. We ended up with the Repose Gray Maureen posted with white for trim. Repose Gray can read very light on the exterior. We don’t have shutters but black would have been a top choice. This online pic is a very good representation of how Repose Gray (on the siding) can look on the exterior. Much more true-to-life than any pics I have. It was the light, warm gray I wanted....See Morejayandtee
