Two Sided Fireplace - Decorating Dilema
Comments (3)I would build it out with open shelving that fills the entire width. It would keep an open feeling, but give you more controlled display space as well as a more functional area....See MoreDecorating walls on either side of the fireplace
Comments (14)You could center your plant more between fireplace/tv and wall (or on the other side if it gets more sunlight) and you'd not need art for that wall. For the other wall, you might consider a wall mural faux window -- perhaps framed in a poster frame. https://www.wall26.com/wall26-vintage-teal-window-looking-out-into-a-greenery-p-28363?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI98fEnsP65gIVAYnICh15wwdBEAQYBiABEgIHFvD_BwE You might consider pressed metal wall art -- choose your interest: Forest: https://www.blackforestdecor.com/mountain-forest-metal-wall-art.html?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIusm0oMT65gIVA4nICh23sg0JEAQYASABEgJuffD_BwE Beach: https://www.etsy.com/listing/483962930/seagull-trio-metal-wall-art-cw233?gpla=1&gao=1&utm_campaign=shopping_us_Tropicalwallart_sfc_osa&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=google&utm_custom1=0&utm_content=14080657&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI0rDbzsT65gIVxIVaBR21-gu0EAQYBSABEgKGXPD_BwE Music: https://www.google.com/search?biw=1366&bih=628&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=3DcZXvLAJfGN5wLy2JngCg&q=Interior+pressed+metal+wall+images+music+treble+cleff&oq=Interior+pressed+metal+wall+images+music+treble+cleff&gs_l=img.3...27316.30049..30372...1.0..0.68.849.14......0....1..gws-wiz-img.JnDMjDq3Lwo&ved=0ahUKEwjynojlxPrmAhXxxlkKHXJsBqwQ4dUDCAY&uact=5#spf=1578711038191 Flower: https://www.amazon.com/DEKADRON-Metal-Wall-Art-Silhouette/dp/B07G2PNVJK...See MoreWhat should I do to this enormous floor to ceiling 3 sided fireplace?
Comments (32)Hope finding the brick above gives you a little peace of mind. Years ago, (dating myself) we had an oval shaped cast iron wood burning heater downstairs and a metal shelf hung between rafters in the ceiling to hold brick above the ceiling and thru the roof. The triple walled pipe attached to the back of the heater took the smoke from the heater to the brick. Covering that heater and pipe with the least possible brick or stone -- least possible expense -- would likely have resulted in a triangle shaped chimney. That is why I suspected you may find a wood burning stove or fireplace insert and some triple walled metal pipe beneath the stone -- but you may not be able to know for sure unless/until the stone is removed. Even if you eventually discover you don't like the look of the brick behind the stone downstairs much or any better than the current uneven stone, it would be easier to clad "straight/smooth" brick with something you do like than to try to alter the current stone. Also, without the stone adding to the size of the fireplace, it is likely there would be less of the floor to redo to match your new flooring. Looking forward to the "after" pics when you make your home/fireplace what you want it to be....See MoreUnusual living room shape with 3 sides of windows!! Looking for ideas!
Comments (30)If tufted part faced the cooking/counter [leaving room of course to cook] -- place fabric/ throw over the back - washable if you cook much! ------- midcentury modern look created by its tapered legs and minimalist lines. The navy blue, color-fast, fade-resistant upholstery is accented with button-tufted details along the seat, backrest and cushions, creating visual interest. Simple yet elegant, the backrest folds down into a comfortable bed with a resilient 6-inch pocket spring mattress.
