Finally the rain has stopped in WA and the painter fit me in. My house in the above pictures was just painted in SW satin Ellie Grey with gloss Extra White trim. The front door was painted in gloss Tricorn Black which isn't as super shiny/smooth on the door as I expected. . This black is what I am planning on painting window shutters. The grey seems to coordinate with the blue cast in the roof I was worried about. The Ellie Grey seems kind of grey brown which I wasn't expecting in grey/non sunny light even though its not supposed to have any brown. They said it was neutral grey when I looked into it. The house used to be painted a nice yellow with white trim. Pictures above are the Hardy siding. I have a very hard time with change and I'm not sure about the house colors I picked. Front door doesn't look very smooth. What do people think of the color choices? I'm also getting new garage doors with Sherwood window inserts and getting new front steps. I'm thinking possibly Trex type material in grey and black for the stair tread and backs with possibly black metal stair railings. Does anyone have any stair pictures they think would look good? I agree with Lori. It's best to pick from all the colors already in your brick -and there are many. It looks like that's what they did when they chose colors the last time, although I wouldn't have favored the orange so much. There are lots of pretty shades of red in the bricks you could choose for you door, several to choose from undo the window. The wine looks like a mis-match in my opinion. I'm not big on paint colors but my description of paint I would choose would be a rustic red.

I would have selected anodized bronze,(not the powder coat brown) window frames. Stairs like these below could be a great addition to your home instead of what you current have. What could be more welcoming? This is how a gray might look IF THEIR GRAY IS DARK. Can't find the actual color chart, but APO looks to be a grayish white and I would NOT go with that. Garage doors can be painted in necessary because they are available in so few colors.

I am trying to decide on exterior house colors, too. Hate to admit it; but, I have a red roof with brick home. The brick has some nice colors in it - gray, beige. I am changing out my gutters. I have to be careful with my color choice; because, (not the best curb appeal) my garage is large and too close to the street. Anyhoo, Soffit is creamy beige and facia is terra cotta. I would like to change the facia to med-to-dark gray. But, due to my curb appeal concern - I will be going to with brown. Hope it looks good with my soffit because I want to have the contrast. I think interior paint colors are much easier cause you can easily change them. I guess that I am just saying, it not an easy decision. However, you might want to consider a darker color choice for your facia and keep the soffit light color.
