Paint Exterior Design Dilemma

Help Picking Exterior Trim Paint Color

We recently purchased this duplex that needs a ton of help with curb appeal. We would like to repaint the exterior trim and fascia board before we have the roof replaced. The new roof will be the color, “weatherwood” and I’m looking for recommendations on trim paint color. Thank you in advance for any recommendations or help!

It’s a nice building. The new roof is nice and will provide contrast with the lighter brick.

I think the main issue, and what would increase curb appeal the most, is enhanced landscaping. I would also bring in lighting around the house and on grounds.

Thank you! I totally agree that some nice landscaping and lights will dress it up a ton! But the roof is leaking from hail damage 😔 so it’s a priority and we wanted to paint the trim before the roof so we don’t have to be as careful and neat around the shingles or flashing haha. Would you recommend a color similar to this picture like a white trim color?

I would suggest the darker color for the main body of the house, and then a lighter color on the forward section with the entry in it. Then, a third color on the round "tower". Darker or lighter, just different. Then pick out the details in the stucco individually, such as the trim around the arches in the white to tie it in with the windows, and the actual interior face of the arch in the blue. I'd also find some pretty tile to put on the steps face, and under the sill of the arch sections. Tile and color accents.

I have exactly the same dilemma. Need white but not very popping out and doesn't go on the cream side as well. I have very light gray siding and we ended up liking Eider White and Extra White. Extra White Is the third one down on the same strip as yours.

Thank you all so much! We agree and will keep the fence color the same. If any of you are willing, can you answer some follow-up questions regarding the siding? I have a few concerns about going with a dark charcoal gray. I Though I think it's a beautiful color, is it not a very trendy color, thus at risk of going out of style soon? I did some research, and it seems a lot of people like SW Peppercorn, which is lovely. I'm concerned the neighbors would object because all the houses on our street our very pale beige-like colors. Would ours stand out too much against the light colored homes? I see all of you suggested the charcoal because it's in the paver, so that makes a lot of sense. Is there any other color I can pull from the pavers that would work? I'm very bad with seeing colors clearly, so I appreciate the help.

I’d love to see how Onyx would look. Where are our mock-up people?! :) Not sure about certain lighter gray tones with all of the other elements (the browns and blacks, and if you go lighter on body). I would think of installing a gutter system, even if you area doesn't get much rain. There is not much of an overhang to get the water away from the foundation. I would go for either a dark brown or an almond (off white) color. I would paint the fascia the same color. Here is a mock-up with your new roof and a line of off white and a line of dark brown for comparison. I would paint the fence the same color or a green like Liberty Park.

I would trim the bush at the side. Maybe even move it out into the yard, since it is tall. I think a rose bush on a colorful trellis would look good between the windows. I would get drought resistant plants for the rest of the yard.

here's a color combo (s) for you. I actually love the top left w/the blue accent and your brick. they look great together. Maybe you can paint the doors or even the fencing, the blustery sky, and do the white for the trim. I like the lower right combo too

I like this one too w/the rustic brick. That would also be a nice accent color

If you could refinish the cedar or redwood fencing and gate, and put a protective UV varnish on them, that warm wood color would look great w/the new color palette and roof
