Rug Dilemma-Help me find a rug please

Pam McCall

I need help finding a rug for my living room. Recently moved in & it's a mess, a real mess. Current rug is temporary, just there so I have a rug (pls ignore), excuse the unpacked mish mash. I want to get rug so I can "finish" out the lvg rm and move on to another messy unpacked room. Living rm is med sized, has tufted medium brown color leather couch (think bomber jacket leather/worn look) and rich navy blue velvet swivel chairs. Lvg Rm is open to Dng Rm & kitchen. Also have rich blue velvet bar stools at kitchen counter. Dng Rm has a rich blue and golden brown traditional styled rug. Blue is my fave color & is my flow color-but I don't want too much of it. Walls painted some kind of beige, seems to throw yellow color. Floors are med-dark wood. This is rental so cannot paint or change any permanent features (not that I want to). My style is electic I guess. I have rustic, modern, urban & traditional styles all rolled in. (I think it looks good so humor me)

Wants & Needs: 9x12, not a super modern style, .25-.5" rug height, super soft and cozy/cushy to lie on, no loops (2 doggies and one "digs" so looped styles get trashed), want a nice tone of blue in it somewhere to tie it in, but would like other color(s) as well so not a solid color. Need it to be less than $500 (budget constraints + messy people/red wine & dogs end up wearing them out + I like change). I tried a light natural colors variant type rug and it looked awful (I think because it was cool colors (gray tones & not beige ones?) and it seems like a richer color would work better w/ brown leather and rich blue chairs?? Suggestions anyone?
