Rose Obelisk Advice. Iceberg: Bush or Climber?

I have a 7.5 foot iron rose obelisk on which I'd like to grow an Iceberg rose. I'm in a warm/hot inland valley in Los Angles (SFV) where Iceberg roses do fantastically well. I'm just uncertain about which way to go.

Option 1. Use a bush form of Iceberg planted inside the obelisk and just keep pruning back side shoots to fill the space.

Pros (as I see it) Easy. Probably neat appearance. Cheap. And I think in my climate the bush form would easily fill the space.

Cons? Would I fail to get blooms down below if I just grew a bush form upright?

Option 2. Use an Iceberg climber and laboriously train the canes in a barber-shop pole type style around the outside.

Pros. I expect it would bloom like crazy.

Cons. More work (I'm willing). But would it look like a mess?

Any advice welcome. I've never grown a rose in this fashion.
