Lighted mounted on vanity mirror vs. above mirror?

The custom mirror contractor says that a full mirror from vanity to top of ceiling makes the bathroom looks bigger. Is that true?
I don't know if I like the look of mirror mounted vanity lights. I don't have crown molding in my bathrooms so not sure if full height mirror to ceiling would look nice.
Please let me know what you think.

Comments (2)Hi Lisa: How sweet of you. I make these decisions by myself and feel sometimes that I am in a vacuum so I appreciate the compliment. I dug out my receipt. This is a Kichler 45167 PN. I believe it is no longer in production but they probably still make something similar. I was impressed with this brand. The light is substantial and has a nice weight. Comments (9)This is the OLD vanity & mirrors- I don't have a pic of the new cabinets BUT the new vanity is standard height, (same as in pic) as you can see the mirror is even taller than the vanity- so maybe 48" tall mirror in pic? The new vanity has towers on either end, sinks moved closer together, but lighting still at same height.
