Lighted mounted on vanity mirror vs. above mirror?

The custom mirror contractor says that a full mirror from vanity to top of ceiling makes the bathroom looks bigger. Is that true?
I don't know if I like the look of mirror mounted vanity lights. I don't have crown molding in my bathrooms so not sure if full height mirror to ceiling would look nice.
Please let me know what you think.

Comments (5)Can you mock up what the mirror and vanity will look like - use some painters tape to indicate where in the room the vanity will end and then outline the various choices of mirror/mirror cabinets. You might be surprised at how some work better than others. Comments (8)either do a whole wall framed mirror and mirror mount the sconces or get smaller mirrors. pendants in bathrooms are decorative IMO But do say you cant find any over the mirror that you like? there are have to be at least 800 choices, for example the one you like probably comes in a mutli head option. try kichler, hinkely, murray fiess, hudson valley lighting, minka lavery go to their actual websites and look through that way you will not be overwhelmed by say the vast amount on a lighting on line website....See More
