I did it, I just purchased a body bag...I think it is alive...
Comments (7)I think it should be ok. How fast did you thaw it? I'm not even sure that makes a difference. You know, I have three beautiful Queen Elizabeths, two Arizonas, and four Double Delights, all of which came in body bags from Orchard Supply Hardware's "bargain bin" looking like a dog's breakfast. Those got me started on my garden 5 years ago, and they are among my best performers and my prettiest roses. Unlike several MUCH more expensive bareroot roses I've gotten from J & P who, once put into the ground, begin to act like Isolde in the last act of the opera, dying for no apparent reason. I hope your DD lives on and gives you many years of happiness. She is a marvelous rose....See MoreI violated the the first rule of Rose Club...bought a body bag.
Comments (23)I have had VERY good luck with bodybags this year. Only one was mislabelled (with only one more to bloom and prove itself) and out of nine only two croaked. A couple are iffy with PM, but at least three look fantastic. Yankee Doodle, New day, and Coral Dawn are near-perfect still, although I know RMV can still show up at any time. Oh well. I am enjoying them while I got 'em! I paid $24 for nine roses. Not too shabby....See MoreCross-body bags
Comments (5)I absolutely think you should try one, and in any fun color you want! I've always preferred wearing my bags across my body. Not only does it feel like a lighter load, but it leaves both hands free to shop. It's not going to slip off my shoulder and nobody can snatch it away. When I buy a purse with a nice long strap, I do make sure the bag is a little flat and not a bulky one. There are so many pretty Spring colors out there now. Have fun! And get some ballet flats to match!...See MoreBody Bag Quandary #2: NOT The Fairy, but who?
Comments (4)Thanks Ben, but I'm not quite done yet! There's a #3 and possibly #4 coming soon! :-0 I will have to compare these pics more closely as I actually grow Betty Prior. Perhaps if he has a cluster bloom I can ID it. It's another BSer in my yard, but blooms constantly and in abundance. I surround it with bushier perennials so I don't have to look at those naked canes. All those from 2018 were OK(I think), so at least Belinda's Dream and Moonlight in Paris were correct this year. We still have Oklahoma and Sally Holmes to go.... oh and also Medallion. I'm not holding my breath at this rate....See MoreVaporvac Z6-OhioRiverValley
