Comments (16)Dear Pam and all. I think this is the first year it actually brought tears to my eyes. Just having met so many loveable people in one place--the place they all warn you about(the wwweb) and have them turn out to be my dearest ones even to this day. It has been a pleasure and a joy to have all of you for company here, in the garden and the various other places, subways with Joseph, the hills of South Carolina and pizza with Paul,so many gardens with Paula and Pam, warm Miller light in Rozanna's back porch at 9 in the morning, late night dinner with Joe and Kate and mucho poetry with Jon. We've had so much fun all this time, haven't we with the roses, so much love passed around. Amazing and glorious, Kate you had the best sense of smell being pug trained so that you didn't have to bury that elegant nose of yours. Christina, thank you for remembering me. Blend guy I've loved every moment of it. Thanks Paul, it all came out as you wished. Jon, I can't think of any inspiring I've done unless we're counting a small amount of addiction advocation I may have inadvertantly participated in. Everything else, Fang made me do. How kind of you, Melissa, who brought us gardening in Italy. Randy I find myself more eager to see your lilies bloom than my own. You mustn't tease me with Nur Mahal, what a little beauty. Sherry that is a beautiful Madame Caroline and Thank you. Joe you are welcome any time. Florence, gorgeous and heartwarming as always. Lori she is one of my very favorites as well, one bloom her whole first year, fingers crossed. Thank you. Paula and Pamela, you two are the jewells of the forum for me. how lucky was the day I met up with you two, such superb gardeners and the best of company...thanking my lucky stars for the first time I looked up own root roses on line....who knew where that would lead to. My blessed. la...See Morehappy! birthay! annie!
Comments (61)Maggie, I'm a Gemini, sign of the twins. There's the "me" you all know, I'm just Annie. My friends and family know that side of me too. However, at work and when dealing with the public, I'm "Angela", or "The Pitbull". Definitely a good side and an evil side and I'll let you decide which is which. (grin) Tracey, I liked the raspberry ice cream but the pieces of chocolate truffle made it just too rich. I ate about half and gave the rest to Amanda. She couldn't finish it either, it was just too sweet. Frankly, I like plain vanilla the best. Colleen, isn't Australia a day behind us or something? So you're probably right on time. I went to the farm today and planted a flat of tomatoes, some sweet red peppers, some Tabasco and Serrano peppers, eggplant and helped the Monkey Princess plant her sunflowers and pumpkins. That's the last of the garden, finally in, I've been planting for about a month now, the potatoes are already nicely up, so are onions and cabbage and I pulled the first radish today. Then I picked up a pitchfork and headed for the barn and shoveled the calf pens for a while. The celebration didn't last long, that's for sure. Elery will be here tonight, maybe I can stretch it out for a couple more hours. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) Annie...See MoreHappy Birthday Annie
Comments (33)Oh yes, Annie, lemonade would be better for them than soft drinks. It still has sugar in it, but at least not all of the other things sodas have in them. I do drink soda, but I never turn down a glass of lemonade. I'm happy to hear that my Gram's recipe is well liked by your grandchildren :-). Sounds like you need that new beverage container I got from Ginny's lol. Brad AKA Moonwolf...See Moreediej1209 AL Zn 7
