What I Saw Today
Comments (3)Wow, Brad! I've not seen any action at the Butterfly Bushes that are blooming here, yet. Sounds like you picked a favorite with the Butterflies. Still no Monarchs here in Cen Va. I didn't see any until about mid-July last year. My WSed plants are looking sort of puny here, too. It has been unbearably hot and pretty dry here, lately. Maybe they will take off next year. I just want to keep them alive this year. The few that are doing well are the ones I mulched with leaves. I've got to figure a way to keep leaves around my plants on the steep bank. I love that pretty blue bloom on it. I tried, unsuccessfully, to transplant some to my garden one time years ago. I may try again. I just got off work and need to take a nap. Damage Both larvae and adults feed on foliage. The typical form of injury is the creation of numerous small to medium-sized irregular holes. Both stages usually inhabit the lower surface, but eat entirely through the fo Here is a link that might be useful: featured creatures at UFL...See More'Mingo... look what I saw today!' says Stewie
Comments (2)When my sister was really young a neighbor girl had a large pet rabbit, it was a male. They were playing w/ rabbit in yard and he got away for a while couldn't find him. A month later or so we figured out were he was, with a regular wild rabbit because they wild baby rabbits looked just like him. This was probably over 30 years ago. But I remember seeing those big bunnies around my parents neighborhood for a few years....See Morepudgeder
