The Far North herb garden

While I've done fairly well (with some notable mistakes) pushing the zones when it comes to trees, my herb garden is very unimpressive. To date, I've only been able to overwinter two wanted herbs with any success:

-thyme

-chives

I made the mistake of planting lovage, and thought I'd finally killed it off, but it's somehow seeded itself in other areas. I'll probably keep the daughter plants as they're not completely useless in cooking. I inherited a yarrow bed and may as well try to eat some this year, although that's not particularly appetizing to me. And I suppose I could go for the dandelions in my lawn, although that's not my first choice for a salad.

What I can't seem to do is overwinter anything else. I haven't found a variety of mint that's hardy in Zone 2b, and my wood betony is far too harsh to use in cooking. Are there any recommended sage selections? Anything else that grows well here? Labrador tea is nice...for a tea, but perhaps I should try some in a few new dishes.
