How to fix lighting situation in formal dining room.

We have a fairly small dining room (10x12) that has a large 84” long table with a buffet. We are looking to update our lighting situation. We currently have a chandelier but it is off centered to the table and out of date. The chandelier is about 16” from the center of the table. There is no easy way to swag a light due to the architectural design of the ceiling (see pictures). We‘ve talked about doing recessed lights 4” ones that we can swivel to point the lighting over the table that would also be on a dimmer. we would do 5 of them. One in the center of the room and 4 in each of the sections of the ceiling (see pictures). We are afraid of the shadowing affect that we would get from it. We are trying to think of other options.

P.S. Don’t mind my daughters Lego project she has going right now. Lol
