my DH wanted me to buy him one at a convenience store once because it is one of his favorites. I looked and looked for one and I couldn't find one, Then I saw one on the bottom shelf. I bought it and Took it our to him. We weren't even out of the parking lot and he threw it out the window. He was mad because it was BBQ flavored or something like that. I had seen it wasn't the normal colored wrapper but I thought they had just changed the wrapper on it. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known it wasn't the original one. I just saved the recipe

I keep a small payday in my car and at my bedside. I have what my doctor said was probably low blood sugar and get what I call the "shakes and sweats". It provides the extra sugar for immediate benefit and long lasting protein. I have never tried making my own because that would leave too much for me to eat.

Blood sugar test fine along with the A1C but Hypoglycemia runs in my family.

I don't like candy, cookies or cakes. I only like pies.

We love Paydays...unfortunately. I discovered salted peanuts and candy corn were kind of a sub for them. This sounds better. :-)

I'm with Marilyn_C, but I also do not like salty candy. If you replaced the peanuts with almonds or hazelnuts and covered it with chocolate, I might like it, but I seem to remember that it had an odd texture. I've never eaten more than one bite of one.

I like Snickers, but I buy the ones with almonds. My favorite candy is English Toffee, and I make that with no salt.

Lars would you please post your English Toffee recipe. My favorite candy is Heath Bars. Hope recipe is similar. Thanking you in advance.
