BUTTERNUT SQUASH PINEAPPLE BAKE 3 c. mashed, cooked butternut squash, drained 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. butter, melted 8 oz. can crushed pineapple, with juice 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/3 c. chopped walnuts or pecans 1/3 c. golden raiins Preheat oven to 325°. Butter a 2-quart casserole dish and set aside. Stir together butternut squash, sugar, melted butter, pineapple, raisins, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg. Mix well and pour into casserole dish. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and bake for 40-45 minutes. Serves 4-6 BUTTERNUT SQUASH PIE 1 unbaked pie crust 3/4 cup sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 1/2 t. ginger 1/2 teaspoon salt 15 oz. cooked squash (strained) 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk 2 eggs, beaten 1/4 c coconut if desired Heat oven to 425°F. Place crust in 9-inch pie pan. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour into pan. Bake 15 minutes; reduce oven temperature to 350°F. Bake 40 - 50 minutes longer. Store in refrigerator. There are always butternut squash french fries and you sprinklr them with a little salt and then toll in cinnamon suar. Couple of things ---it seems like the measurements of things are off a bit. The total of the kitchen and eating area is 20 feet. You're not including the assumed aisle between the kitchen and the dining area? And the spice kitchen is a bit longer than the kitchen proper, but yet its measurements show it as shorter. ---Is the eating area the only dining space? I'd be worried because 7 feet is the absolute minimum width to have people seated on both sides of a table but without room to for them to become seated. As as example, a 3 foot wide table with people seated on both sides needs about 32" on both sides of the table for people to pull out their chair and become seated or a space about 8'4" wide. Add another two inches on both sides if you have a wall. In this design, you might need a walkway from the kitchen out the deck door or to maintain a walkway to/from the deck if dinner is being cooked outside, but eaten inside. During this month, we do that frequently as we have very high heat and humidity readings combined with a high mosquito population. And it looks like you'd need a traffic way to kitchen/from the family room all the time. I'm not sure what size table you're thinking about, but if I start with 16'3" then subtract for those cabinets in the eating area, an actual 30" aisle past a seated person and 34" for the person on the end, I get a maximum table length of about 82". Doing the same thing for desired room width, again using 3 feet for the table width, 30" clear aisle to the door + 24" for a seated person + 36" for the table + 24" for the seated person + 36" to the island counter edge is about 12.5 feet from the door to the deck. If the kitchen counter has stools, add on another foot minimum to maintain a narrow, but passable aisle when both the table's chairs and stools are occupied. --- Can you shorten up the bar sidewalls and extend the length of the spice kitchen?

Where are all our Canadian friends????? My Goodness, the BEST candy bar in the world is a Mars bar. Not a USA one. I think I kept three of them in my fridge, eating one per year, after our trip to Alaska, thru BC and the Yukon. Sadly, they are gone, but the memory lingers on! Chocolate as only the 'blokes' make, with caramel....just heavenly. Good thing I live a long way 'south of the border'! Meanwhile...... Chocolate is my fav.... coffee second, like TJ's Coffee Rio.

I haven't mad this but I saved it cause I love Butterfingers. Its a Butterfinger Pie. 1 - 12.5 Oz Butterfinger Candy Bars, crushed 1 8oz cream cheese, room temp 1 12 oz Cool Whip, thawed 1 premade graham cracker crust Set aside 1/2 cup crushed candy bar. Mix other ingredients together and pour into crust. Sprinkle remaining crushed candy bars on top. Refridgerate till set. I fyou go to itsakeeper.com, there are many more recipes on there using candy and cookies. I think I have the one you mentioned. Tried it and it was ok but got watery very quickly. Someone mentioned adding cream cheese to it to make it more substantial. I think it used Milky Ways or Snickers. 1
