Comments (20)Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground Willie I will Always Love You only the Dolly Parton version Piece of My Heart Janis Joplin (the remake by whoever is horrid and should be outlawed) Katmandu Bob Seger I was fortunate to grow up during the sixties and was surrounded by all the Bay Area garage bands and got to hear groups like the Airplane,Janis and Big Brother and the Holding Company,The Youngbloods, Blue Cheer, and even the Dead before they became household words. Golden gate park and the San Francisco clubs were the norm of my youth. I'm stuck in the 50's,and 60's and early 70's too. I have always listened to country. When my friends were into the Beatles in the 7th grade I was listening to Sonny James. LOL...See MoreWhat is your favorite song of all time
Comments (53)Way way too many to list, or even to bring to mind! My top one is probably Canon in D - My heart turns over when I listen to that song. Second, maybe River Dance. I love so many that are already listed in this thread. Someone mentioned Oh Danny Boy and in that same category is Loch Lomand, two ancient songs that I've sung thousands of times. Used to sing them to my kids when they were babies and still sing them to myself from time to time. I have some favorite hymns... Amazing Grace and This is my Father's World are a couple. Unchained Melody - Wonderful song mentioned above. Many others. I love country western and old time rock. My list would be dozens if not hundreds!...See MoreWhat's your favorite song to listen to right now?
Comments (45)gs-I saw GVF in a smaller theater venue last month-and I just know that the next time they come to my town they're going to be in a much bigger venue. I'll pay the price for their tickets-I just love them. I was thrilled to see so many over 50's in attendance. Have you heard The Struts? They opened for the Foo Fighters this past tour and just released their 2nd album. Got to do a M&G with them this summer, also. They're very fun....See More- 6 years ago
