anyone use a couche?

A while back I got a new in the bag couche rack thing at a thrift shop. It's old, but new in the bag- found in in with the knitting needles and embroidery frames, lol. It was two bucks so why not?

It came with a couple little recipe books- King Aruthur Flour Lalvain do Jour Starters and a recipe book...

But there was no information about how to use the couche itself. It's a bit of a thing that stands on legs and has rods.. and fabric that I'm not sure if I should wash it or not before using or between uses? I've figured out the rod configuration for it to be a 2 or 3 loaf.. but not sure about that fabric since I've never used this thing before.

Should I wash the fabric before I use this thing? or is this something that should just be floured and used to season in, like cast iron gets seasoned?
