Hi Barbara, I did have a blogger in Canada respond to me that she had this range and loved it. I decided not to get an induction range due to the EMFs.

Wow, the LG looks nice! I've just ordered a Kitchenaid after what I thought was thorough research but I hadn't seen the LG. I, too, had a first criteria for knobs but compromised after watching vids of the touch controls. Some frigidaire reviews said the plastic panel on the front melted when pots bumped it. I didn't care as much for it when I saw it, but it does seem like a good value and most reviews seemed positive. The Samsung has knobs. I was going to get that one but just didn't feel comfortable with the quality of the range (lacking some basic features) and reviews of service nightmares. LG also is said to lack customer service for warranty issues. Good luck with your shopping!

Update on our range. I have had this for over 6 months. I’ve never gotten used to the steps on the induction cooktop. There really needs to be a step in between the current 2 and 3, 3 and 4 and maybe 4 and 5. Our bigger issue is that I have had trouble with the convection fan. After a period of time, it warps and begins to hit the side of the oven. I’ve had the fan replaced twice. Two of the service calls resulted in a new fan. The third service call resulted in the repair person hooking up the range to the computer, and telling me nothing was wrong. The reason this was an issue was because the problem is often intermittent and during this service call, the fan was playing nicely. I am glad I purchased an extended warranty, as I will probably have to use it.

I have this range (purchased in March of 2022) we had a gas oven but wanted to switch to induction and this model was the least inexpensive option. It does the job, had a bit of a learning curve at first in figuring out the best number to cook on for various foods, especially when making rice- but have it sorted out now. I haven’t used the convection/air fry option so not sure how that differs from the regular bake option. The range does make that noise some induction makes once turning it on but I don’t notice it after a while. My hesitation in switching over was that we make a lot of pizza and I wasn’t sure if I could get the same results as when I had my gas oven but it hasn’t been an issue at all.
