Wow, the LG looks nice! I've just ordered a Kitchenaid after what I thought was thorough research but I hadn't seen the LG. I, too, had a first criteria for knobs but compromised after watching vids of the touch controls.

Some frigidaire reviews said the plastic panel on the front melted when pots bumped it. I didn't care as much for it when I saw it, but it does seem like a good value and most reviews seemed positive.

The Samsung has knobs. I was going to get that one but just didn't feel comfortable with the quality of the range (lacking some basic features) and reviews of service nightmares.

LG also is said to lack customer service for warranty issues.

Since I've posted, I've read posts about some service issues with a Bertazzoni induction range, which makes me worry. I'm definitely leaning towards the LG now. I really like to cook, so a range will get the bulk of my appliance budget, I think (along with a dishwasher, since I hate to clean).

I looooove the look of all the Bertazzoni appliances and am so tempted to fill my kitchen with them. However, I've been told by two different retailers that getting parts takes forever. Like 10-12 weeks. I was told that there is no parts warehouse in North America yet so everything has to come from Italy. That still doesn't explain such a long time lag, and things could get better as the brand gains traction here, but it scared me away.
