Need feedback on digital device in living room
Comments (4)There's an app for sharing calendars. It's a standard feature of the Google calender thing. So you could display both your phone calenders on a tablet or something (as well as each other's phones). Since it's web based, it isn't limited to the Android platform. And Google already knows everything you're doing anyway....=P Actually there's a lot of sharing stuff in the google things. The spouse and I do have a shared Christmas shopping list on Google Drive and we share stuff with our architect the same way. We could tack a tablet to the fridge and keep lists that are updatable and readable via phone or laptop Our grocery shopping list is paper stuck to the fridge, though. I have to admit, I like turning things OFF. I don't want electronics pulling power all the time, no matter how small. Anyhoo, if Pra could put things together in a nice neat easy-to-display package, I think a lot of people would find it useful....See MoreFeedback on living room ideas, please
Comments (2)Are you going for a kind of Sarah Richardson cottage-white look or something reminiscent of shabby chic? I think white rooms are great with soft light, but I could never bring it off. I think your fireplace would throw in a challenge in making it work. For your slip-covers, I would do both the duck and velvet if the budget allows. You want to be comfortable year round and velvet is just too warm for summer. It would be divine this time of year, though! If only one is in the budget I would do duck. It's easy to warm up with pillows or throws for the autumn and winter. I like the tin together. It makes more of a statement and they make sense as a unit. Be careful with the paint choice, though. It could end up making the tin look "dirty" instead of "distressed". Sometimes whites are hard to bring together!...See MoreDesigning a shop with a living area and could use feedback / direction
Comments (10)It's allowed and I'm financing it. I live in an area where it is cheap to build. I don't need financing. I've got the money for all the fundamental stuff and getting a bathroom put in. Then I'll finish things out on the inside over time. Building secondary structures is easy to get away with here with the zoning. I've seen lots of people build a shop to live in until they can build a house. Both here and other places. Pretty common practice. (Sounds like maybe this is a foreign concept to you.) It is allowed I checked. It'd be like a tiny apartment. As far as your horse cart idiom, I've got things in order. I'm asking about what I'm asking about....See Moreliving room media console feedback
Comments (3)Totally agree with what jck910 said regarding color. But would add, if there is someone in your family (in my case it is my spouse!) who never seems satisfied with the size of the TV, then you might want to go 50% larger than your current TV....See MoreBeth H. :
