FYI, they have a sale going on now, on media consoles, etc. 15% off. FWIW, we did not purchase our media console at C&B, but did look at them during our search a couple of years ago. The ones we looked at all seemed well made. The one we did get (at Bloomie's.....the size, color, style worked best for our room) is a Maria Yee piece, and apparently, some of the media consoles at C&B also were (and may still be) made by Maria Yee. The salesperson (furniture mgr?) at C&B spoke very highly about MY furniture quality and construction. We did get a walnut dresser for our guest bedroom from C&B (same time frame). We are very happy with it. It's not super high-end, furniture quality, but it is very well made, looks very nice, and serves our purpose well. C&B was terrific to deal with, too. The first dresser arrived with a small blemish on the top, and they arranged for a new one to be delivered (we called while the delivery guys were here, and the replacement was ordered right away). They even left the original one in our home until the replacement arrived so we could use it in the meantime. One of the drawers in the replacement dresser had a wobbly drawer glide, so the delivery guys swapped out the glide for us with one from the dresser that they were picking up. Not even a question or hassle, in fact, I think they offered to do it before we even asked. You do want to see the furniture in person if you can. Some stuff (collections) are better made than others (a couple of dressers that we liked online, were definitely flimsier than others). Les917, I would love to be more specific! The walls are 48 and 54 inches; 48 for the left window wall and 54 for the fireplace wall. The diagonal measurement is 59 inches from the window trim to the edge of the brick hearth. The wall to the right of the opening is the only wall where we can put our buffet and china closet so that's a nonstarter. The peril of open floor plans is the lack of walls! I had not thought of the pivoting wall mount and a regular console so that is definitely worth investigating. It would have to be a fairly heavy duty thing but I bet they are out there. Will it feel awkward for the tv to be at an angle and the console flat against the wall? chelone, going custom is a possibility and, fortunately, we have an excellent cabinetmaker who did our cupboards. If my DH can finish his new workshop, he'd like to give it a go but that really puts it down the road a piece. Patience is not one of my virtues. VBG

The rug needs to have at least the front feet of the sectional on it. Looks fine to me the way it is.

groveraxle, I was more concerned personally about actual size of the sideboard in terms of how large it is on its own, and then we are moving it up into an alcove... Maybe I'm making myself paranoid about this, but the piece is 54"W x 17¾"D x 29½"H. Good point about the distance between the screen and console. We can always move the TV screen up as it's on an arm. Here is a pic of the 4 panel sideboard. This one is much wider than the 3 panel we photoshopped in, however the height is the same - 29 1/2".
