Corner media console suggestions needed
Comments (5)Les917, I would love to be more specific! The walls are 48 and 54 inches; 48 for the left window wall and 54 for the fireplace wall. The diagonal measurement is 59 inches from the window trim to the edge of the brick hearth. The wall to the right of the opening is the only wall where we can put our buffet and china closet so that's a nonstarter. The peril of open floor plans is the lack of walls! I had not thought of the pivoting wall mount and a regular console so that is definitely worth investigating. It would have to be a fairly heavy duty thing but I bet they are out there. Will it feel awkward for the tv to be at an angle and the console flat against the wall? chelone, going custom is a possibility and, fortunately, we have an excellent cabinetmaker who did our cupboards. If my DH can finish his new workshop, he'd like to give it a go but that really puts it down the road a piece. Patience is not one of my virtues. Comments (2)I just bought the Corridor unit from BDI. I love it. Probably not solid wood but I do not think it is MDF. https://www.bdiusa.com/media-furniture/corridor_8179.shtml#.V0rOa2MZ3ww Have you tried Room and Board or Pompanusuc Mills? http://www.pompy.com/furniture/?category=4...See MoreMedia Console Ideas Needed!
Comments (12)I like that one. I'd bring in some color w/a great piece of art on that large wall (both of them, actually) or do some wood shelving on the wall behind the sofa. Some potted plants do great things to a space Similar room. see if you like how they decorated in this one. (you don't have to do as many plants if you don't like them, just look at the rug, pillows, accessories) heres how they did the wall behind the sofa. but on this other wall, I'd do a large picture. Your picture is so tiny it's hard to see anything black and white look nice w/the camel leather sofa. here are some other textures w/the pillows, a throw, diff rug, table gallery of similar looking artwork. (they are hung a bit too high though) This white topped round coffee table would be perfect for you style sofa. get a pouf too. layered rugs, white pouf, white pillows/throw. all added textures you could get a sisal or jute rug, and even layer the rug you like over it. just make sure it's larger, obviously. white shelf behind sofa, side chair, marble topped wood table, plant blue and green accents, light rug, metal/glass table Again, shelf behind sofa (don't hang it too high) don't know if you can do a pendant light anywhere. maybe in the corner next to tv? or above the sofa in the corner? I like this wood ladder shelf thing for the space next to your console. close look of accessories....See MoreDoes anyone recognize this TV stand/media console?
Comments (1)You need to take a better picture from the front because it is impossible to actually tell what the front looks like let alone the wood. In general used furniture is not worth much - or is worth what someone who is in the market for a specific type and style is willing to pay. You will probably find that it is difficult to get more than what you paid for it originally as used furniture and probably might not get as much. When I remodeled I wound up giving away all of the furniture I wasn't going to use because it made no sense to go through the hassle of attempting to sell it....See MoreRelated Professionals
