Wood, if you Google, Philodendron pictures or Philodendron photos, several pages of Philo pics pop up. They are sooo very beautiful! Your Philo sounds gorgeous..too bad you don't have a pic to share. Gotta love variegated plants! :) Do you know Randy and Sherm? They specialize in variegated plants..Father and son..They're not sellers/businessmen, collecting, hunting variegated specimens are their hobby. They even found variegated 'weeds' and 'Petunias.' lol. Think I have their site addy on Favorites, I'll check. He had a good selection of variegated Philos... Last I heard, Randy lost interest, or something happened, so he gave or possibly sold his plants. But his site is still avialable. Ill check and get back to you. I assume Philos need the same care. Perhaps, yours needs more light to keep colors pronounced.?.? Bright light, and definately humidity...they love humidity. My Philos do well in obstructed south windows, year round. Windows don't get much direct sun, mostly bright light. I keep a humidifer in the room, and spray daily. Smaller pots sit on pebbles with water, and a weekly hose in the kitchen sink. I had a huge Philo collection, but gave most to a friend..When older they need a LOT of room, something I'm running out. lol.. My Pink Princess, (green/red/pink) are in a cool room, a few feet from west and north windows. An indoor fountain runs 24/7, so it/they're (have two) get humidity and a fair amount of light..One PP is a little over 4 yrs..Although it's kept its colors, leaves aren't as large as they should be..So, IMO, variegated plants needs quite a bit more light than non-variegated.. Named ones= Begonia " Richardsiana" B." Snow Capped " B. "Tea Rose" B. "Hot Tamale" B. "Good and Plenty " B, "Tiny Gem " B. " Silver Queen " The Richardsiana has in pass week took a big flop , and so not sure whats up with it , taken it back into house , hope it was just heat stroking from 100 + daze we have been in for pass couple of weeks here in nastyville , so not sure about it. Two other's unknown named ones but pretty just the same and last one I think mite be B. " Sophia Cecile " not sure. I see you have " My Special Angel " have been looking at it in the catalogs . sorry I'm so long winded.... but sure there must be something in your long list that we can work with . P.s. I wont make it to any plant swap so..... not sure how we would do this if we've a mind to ???? But thanks for your time and effort if thats the only way .

Well said Tropicbreeze. Jay, P. hederaceum has been officially named scandens and oxycardium in past decades, so those names still linger today. Apparently the "original" species is now called hederaceum variety 'Oxycardium' as Tropicbreeze says. Notes on International Aroid Society's website describes an almost identical variety growing in the same range, differing only in having a slightly narrower, more pointed, and satiny, glossy leaf blade as a juvenile. I think this is hederaceum v. 'Micans', which is the erroneous name "Mica" you mentioned. I haven't seen the name "Mica" before, so a large wholesaler must have recently marketed v. 'Micans' with that name. Ignore the name "heartleaf', it's applied to so many of the hederaceum varieties that it's useless as an identifier. Epipremnum used to officially be Scindapsus, so the latter is still used in error. Epipremnum aureus v. 'Marble Queen' is available in two clones, one having large areas of bright white variegation on a dark green leaf, the other being much more striking with a nearly all-white leaf and scatterings of green. I hope we've made some sense out of some of the chaos of names. Russ

@librarian_gardner_8b_pnw Mine is the same with the bare legs. All the growth is at the top. I'm wondering if I didn't prune it back far enough this spring. I left it at 2ft. I may take it back to 12-15in next season. @Tangles Long I just saw the youtube video and it wow......it totally blew my mind! I've only seen pictures of this on DA's website (they've since removed it). Pictures/videos like this are the reason I planted a hedge of PAOK in the first place in 2018. My hedge is still very leggy, but it did bloom frequently this year. Until I saw that video, I started to think this kind of display isn't possible in reality. Boy, was I wrong! To top it off, @jo_pyeweed (z9 SF Bay Area)'s pictures are stunning too! I really REALLY want this type of display from PAOK, and really any rose in my garden. It's not enough to have pretty blooms any more. I want full and lush shrubs, even when they're not in bloom. I've been looking into how to make that happen, and I think it really boils down to hard pruning in warmer zones and buying grafted. I buy own root exclusively, and every picture I see of a bushy rose, it is one that is grafted. I don't think that's a coincidence, since grafted roses can offer a more uniform experience across many different conditions and rose types. For that reason, I think I may transition to deliberately growing more in pots, since soil conditions are more uniform. (Or I just need to be more patient, since I'm dealing with own root roses lol) @noseometer...(7A, SZ10, Albuquerque) Fragrance is the only thing that disappoints me so far with this rose. It's present, but not strong at all. I've read that it's really strong and that it takes a few years to develop it's power. I've had mine for 4 years and it's only a lite fragrance so far. Nothing really blows me away like the website and stories would suggest. I really did a nerdy ramble here haha, but this thread really speaks to many of my sentiments around growing roses. I want to look outside or walk around and see what I've seen in this thread all the time!
