She said that the home in the show is a friend's home they are borrowing. It looks like a real kitchen, stained pots and all. And I adore her husband, baby and nanny!

I like her a lot. She has a friendly demeanor about her. She may discuss things that some find objectionable, but I find her delivery is so natural and cheery.

Ok, I started the first episode, got through the old fashioned and then into some discussion about how Jewish she is or isn’t, and fell back asleep around that point. Not sure how many minutes that was but it was pretty slow and dull. Will try some more later.

I love Amy Schumer but was disappointed with the first episode of her cooking show. I didn't find it to be funny at all. But I agree about that sweet baby - she looks like a loving mom.

I've seen the first half of the first show. There were some nice funnies. Gentle, family style (though a few bawdy comments). I've already forgotten the husband's name. He's obviously a skilled cook, but I was disappointed with his level of authority. I wish they wouldn't frame it as a "learn" show. Amy's obviously not learning, and the "recipes", such as they are, aren't really recipes, one doesn't fry latkes in olive oil (or anything really, unless it's extra light so it won't scorch), etc. It doesn't matter for a demo, but irked me for a teach. If they'd just go with a this is what we're cooking theme, I'd like it better. That's a minor quibble, however. As many others have said, the baby is adorable, and it's obvious they have a nice, loving family, and that is a great antidote to the bulk of what's on TV. Crime isn't entertaining when there's a crisis wanting escapism. :)

Just Googled Chris Fisher, and he won a James Beard award for best American cookbook in 2016, and he runs his family's farm in Martha's Vineyard. And one article says that he's got Asperger's Syndrome.

Love Schumer, the bawdy comedienne. Love Schumer, the mom. Even love Schumer, the actress☺ I do not, however, love Schumer, the chef's sidekick.

To me, their first show was disappointing. During one segment, Amy follows Fischer around the kitchen, making sexy little advances. 'Sex sells!' she jokes.

While husband is seen completely immersed in flipping Latkes. One of several opportunities missed to inject humor in this lackluster late-night show. I get theirs is about cooking---but c'mon---break out the defibrillators!

Don't get me wrong, I like Fischer. He seems like an all-around nice guy, knowledgeable in his field. With the potential of soloing a cooking show, even if he is a bit humdrum in front of the camera. But then, I don't recall any fiery or entertaining FN personalities of yesteryear.

In any case, I want the show to prove me wrong and succeed. So I'll give it another chance. I was wrong, once.

Regarding Amy Schumer, stand-up is where this comedy star shines brightest.

I would have enjoyed it more (I've only seen one episode) without her sexual comments and double entendres, although I do think she toned that down. She may think that's her "schtick" but she doesn't need that kind of humor or references to be funny.

Well, given that there are different kinds of humor, her kind of salty ribald humor isn't my favorite. I saw her special on HBO (I think it was HBO) and she can be very clever and entertains a certain audience quite well. I wouldn't pay to see her, but that can be said for a lot of things. I think she is very sweet with her hubby and that darling baby!

I just saw the second half. Did anyone else notice there's no hood for that big gas range? I hope it doesn't impact the baby or the dog! I think this show is sweet if you call it At Home with the Shumer-Fischers. I'm not impressed with Chris's cooking on a technical level. I'm sure he's a fine chef, as has been noted, but he's very sloppy (I'm talking technique not cleanliness). Watching the two of them interact is nice. I'm so tired of people being mean to each other! These two bicker sweetly, without being mean or strident. It's nice escapism.

I appreciated that Amy was concerned not to drop chocolate on the floor because it's bad for the dog--something whoever made the wipes didn't know when they said the dog was "allergic". But don't put clothes on the dog! Poor thing looked really distressed when made to pose with a chef's hat on.

Yes, I am, she is amazingly creative, funny, bawdy but wise. I'll have to watch the show.

I didn't view it as a "production" show that is meant to survive post quarantine, just something fun to do while they are stuck at home. I loved that she obviously didn't fuss with her hair or bother with make-up, shot it with a cell phone (mostly). It was just a little glimpse at living with them. I liked his methods of making things with proportions instead of measurements. I don't really think it was intended to teach Amy anything about cooking, just an "excuse" to have him demo some cooking that they (he) were doing anyway.

I thought there was a BIG exhaust hood over the gas range. ?? Or there was in the Jewish or not Jewish one I just watched.

I think Amy and her hubby would make great friends to hang out with. She can't cook. Watching her is like hanging out with any girlfriend....not a TV show. :0) I'm glad she's a success....and I'd like to watch the movie she did with Goldie Hawn....called Snatched. I have it on hold at the library.

I had never heard of Amy Schumer until the FoodNetwork cooking show the other night. I agree with Sol, not sure I truly cared for the show, but will get it another viewing or two. Maybe it will grown on me. I hope the real chef stands up and speaks up a little more in future episodes, or maybe that is the way they have been directed to act, but I hope not in all of the episodes.

Oh, ho! That was FUNNY!! Especially when she calls scrambled eggs an "egg hack". And Nicole, I do get it that you saw a hood! Just in a different show. :) Second favorite part was her needing help to choose a pan, and the pan being dirty, and him just using a paper towel to wipe it. I take back the cleanliness credit I gave Chris above! I mean, it's harmless--not going to disease anyone-- but eeew.

She's too raunchy for me to like her stand up but the movie she made with Goldie Hawn as her mom - Snatched - is laugh out loud funny (to me anyhow). Haven't watched her cooking show. Haven't really watched anybody's shows from their house other than the news.

There were a couple of prime time dramas where they did they shows all or in part from home, and they were very clever! The Shumer-Fischers have multiple cameras--I think mostly iPhones and/or GoPros, and the nanny has a handheld digital SLR for closeups and stuff. Then there's post production which adds captions and wipes and cuts it all together. So it's very professional while still looking and playing like any of us recording family on our phones.

The world of foul mouthed comedians is nothing new. Comedians who were very funny and G-rated on TV, since the dawn of TV (and I'm sure reaching back through the depths of time), would get to stages in places like Las Vegas and shock the heck out of visitors. Lenny Bruce famously was arrested for it. He was just the one who stood out. Most adjusted their acts to fit local laws. Nowadays, it's hard to shock people, but they still try.

I wonder if the "egg hack" youtube video they posted was the inspiration for Food Network to ask them to do a cooking show? It was cute.

And for the folks finding Schumer too salty for their tastes, may I recommend Ann Reardon of How To Cook That? She is perfectly wholesome and has sweet, cute kids, and a funny husband who will eat anything she gives him to try.

I watch her videos on YouTube and had posted about discovering her awhile back. She is very engaging and talented. Her videos are very well done. She also likes to include her mistakes and fails.

Amy’s humor is certainly not for everyone. But neither were Richard Pryor’s, or George Carlin’s—the kings of comedy.

Yes, they were raunchy, yet funny. Whereas comedians such as Andrew D. Clay were just filthy, devoid of any humor.

I’m a grown woman who can handle the naughty language. And I’m especially thrilled to see talented female performers, like Amy Schumer and Ali Wong, It’s about time they shared the spotlight.

I just saw the second episode. I think they're getting the hang of it. More of a conversation with the camera than OMG! There's a camera!

I watched the 2nd episode today and enjoyed it. Her husband is so tolerant or patient.

LOL! I think what's obvious is that they really love each other. :) This episode wasn't as sweet, but it's pretty easy to pick apart the easy jokes and bickering from real rancor, which is blessedly absent. I loved Amy's honesty when asked what she learned, which was to cut up different vegetables. I also loved her tantrum over the tomato sauce which wasn't in the script. :)

I've always been neutral toward Amy Schumer, but caught her cooking show a night or two ago. It was late, and I was watching TV alone after a long day. I found myself giggling more than once over inappropriate innuendos. I don't think I learned anything about cooking per se, but the humor was just what I needed.

Watched one show partly. Nothing special. Will not watch again.

I watched the 2nd show last night and while it's not spine tingling, it's mildly entertaining. I do like some of the recipes he's making...the radish and pea shoot crostini looked so good and I never would have come across that recipe. The pasta dishes also looked really, really good. Not complicated, no special ingredients, so I appreciate that.
