I have had several of those in the past couple of weeks. The thing I found interesting when I checked my password lists is that the only places I used that particular password was Michaels and a book store that is out of business. Apparently when I received the various warnings that my passwords were compromised they are just now starting to sell them.

I did have a good chuckle about them ruining my reputation. It is what it is and I worked hard to get it there in my 20's and 30's.

Yes, I got one a couple of weeks ago and my friend in MX got one while I was there last month. She was alarmed until we figured out that it was a scam. I forwarded the one I got to Outlook & got a reply w/in minutes.

No, nothing like that. I've found a couple in a spam file in an account I don't use any more from young women wanting to meet me. I check it maybe every other day or every three days or so, think I just about have it phased out and all active contacts changed so I don't know why showing up there. I haven't sent an email from that account this year.

morz I hope you realize that companies sell email addresses. The buyers send email of all sorts to the addresses. As long as that email exists the address will receive email from the purchasers.

My brother got that one, it said they had all his Facebook contacts. He doesn’t have facebook. My dad has gotten 3, after he passed away.

Samkaren.....I got that one about 18 months ago. The password was to my Home Depot account, they got hacked. I'd already changed it. They kept at it, once a week, for months. It's just started up again, only there are no words, just odd characters in the letter. I delete them like any other junk mail.

Mine also mentioned my Facebook account which is strictly for my book buddies. As well as friends, coworkers and parents. Good luck with that. My parents passed years ago

I got that email too, 3 different times from 3 different people within a month. They said they had seen the porn sites I visit - interesting since I don't, and that it had taken control of my webcam. Which is also interesting since I have a bandaid over it blocking access to it. They said I had funny taste in porn, and that they were going to send it to my contacts if I didn't pay a bunch of bitcoins.

I say, do it!! Our local police recently put an announcement on Facebook about this scam. The chief of the department had received it.

I keep the one for Amazon, " need to update you account information" Oh sure I will do that right away for you! LOL

The newest one I received yesterday was purportedly from Apple saying I had downloaded an app from a new device and if I didn't, then I needed to go to an included link and cancel the download. The email looked pretty legit, but it came to an email not associated with my Apple account so I knew it was a scam.

Have you gotten the snail mail scam notices about packages that need to be retrieved? Those are new to me.

Fun2bhere....I got that one a few month's ago. Also got Amazon email saying my payment was declined for order. I never placed an order and email listed this as a debit card which I don't have.

Others I've gotten is the phone message about my car warranty being expired. I have also gotten phone messages from some girl saying she can get me my pain medications cheap and to call her as soon as possible. These people are as bad as the robocallers.

Oh....and....I keep getting the one saying a charge has been made to my Paypal account from someone "shady". "Love my gun" has been sent a $25 payment......ha ha ha Of course a link is provided to login and clear it up.

I got one from Ebay a while back that I was going to be banned for nonpayment of something. I've never bought anything off of Ebay.

I got a spam text message yesterday in Spanish. I didn't translate or click the text.

I love that the robo calls that leave a long message in Chinese/Vietnamese (?) have stopped during CV.

I still have my original old AOL account for my main email and I have to say, they are fantastic about sending questionable emails to my spam folder. Rarely does one get past their spam detection.

At work we still have a fax machine. I see faxes all the time for employees who haven't worked here in years and years - they all have the same uncle who died in England and this kind attorney has tracked them down so they can claim their millions in inheritance.

I got an email the other day where the subject matter was an old password. I didn't even open the email just deleted and then deleted again from trash.

Gmail is also very good at identifying possible spam and sending it to the spam folder. I think my hotmail/outlook is too but I don't use it as much.

I gotten the "I've hacked your computer and your webcam and will embarrass you if you don't pay" scams too. But I have no webcam, and haven't done anything too embarrassing in the last twenty years or so anyway... so.. have at it. Delete Forever... and forget.

I usually don't get much spam, possibly less since the pandemic.

Maybe more OS updates though. Folks maintaining my OS seem to have more free time to code. :-)
