Dee -- the clear plastic knife rules me out as the source. I don't think I've ever used that method of marking plants, even on the day of the swap. Are the ones you have single or double? Mine are most definitely single blossoms. Very daisy-like. And still going strong -- I LOVE them! (As an added plus ... the ones in the picture were cut 10 days ago, and look like they just came in from the yard today.) Jaynine -- I'd seen the photos of Cambodian Queen (and now have to have it!) but from the photo, there's more pink in it than mine have. Mine (the petals) are very distinctly part white, part very soft pink (at the tips, maybe half the petal is pink in tone, from nearly white to a soft lavendar-pink at the tip), the rest of the petals are all white. That's why I ended up with a deduction (nothing more than that) of Venus (Pink). All I know is that now that I've seen these other photos, my goal is a BIG mixed bed of hardy mums for NEXT fall -- from Cambodian Queen to the dark pink J. C. Weigelan.

homey_bird - yeah, these forums rock! But, so many people have helped me here on Kitchens, as well as on Appliance, Laundry, etc. I'm even on SLF most every night, just to vent. I have pointed so many to GW and even many pros take what we have to say very seriously. I was just tickled to see the exact kitchen you were looking for right after I read this post. One thing - follow Marge's advice. I can't tell you the number of samples I have in every spare place in my house. Everytime I saw something that would work, I brought it home and OMG, it was the worst thing I'd chosen so far. I even took a piece of my cabinet with me to the stone yard, and that still didn't work. A lot has to do with lighting, even that from the sun at different times of the day. The fabricator I'm working with now offers 1ft square samples and that has made it a lot easier. I stayed with with because of that and other details they provide, even though they ended up being higher than others I spoken with. I've worn out my welcome with most of my family and friends, but it will be worth it soon. My install is next Friday!!! good luck on your kitchen.

forgot to mention: that kitchen gives me serious NYC envy!! what a kitchen with a view! and forgot to mention that I WAS in love with a Thom. Moser stool... unfortunately a pair cost about the same amount as a major appliance and thus I ended up getting perfectly wonderful stools at Target (for $135 for the pair with assembly required but with two little kids in the house, I am not at all fussy about what happens with them). I grew up in MN and the only time a furnace is referred to as a boiler is referring to a commercial building that uses boilers. Otherwise it's always been a furnace that I've heard. Things kids don't understand these days? -Math -English/Grammar -Responsibility -Value of a dollar etc. A lot of these said aren't really old-fashioned, rather regional. I couldn't help but laugh when my cousin gave me the "Yeowl care for a Coke?" followed by "What kind would ya lock". This was before the days of Diet Coke, Cherry Coke, Caffeine-Free Coke, etc. Sorry cuz, 7up ain't a Coke product. LOL BTW, FWIW, Velveeta is Colby, Swiss and Cheddar (blended all together...), that's what Velveeta is! One of my favorites was a boss who came from Tulsa whose favorite phrase was "Come high hell or water! He was just happier than a coondog on a bare leg using that. "I promised these guys a meeting to talk about this stuff and come high hell or water we're gonna have it!" (I didn't have the heart to say anything.) Years later I thought maybe being from OK and TX perhaps it was regional and he knew what high hell really was! They would get the water! :D It's a doozy is all I can say.
