Comments (8)You are overthinking this. Jades are used to difficult growing conditions. No need to make things harder than they need to be. These are some of the easiest plants to grow. A few yellowing leaves does not present a problem, as Josh has mentioned. I would just remove them. Your plant as it is looks in excellent health. What you need to do, in my opinion, is not water too much, place in the sunniest window possible, and put in an unglazed terra cotta pot. You do not NEED to repot into gritty mix. That is a personal choice. They can and do thrive without doing so. Mine is not in gritty mix but has been doing fine. Good luck with yours. Comments (12)I assume it isn’t limp...right? I don’t know how you repotted, but...Personally, I would repot in a clay pot, the azalea style which is about as wide as tall. This style pot is a very stable and has weight compared plastic. Not sure what you used of course. Use a fast draining mix of half commercial c/s mix and sifted perlite or pumice. You need a fast draining mix, avoiding leather. What mix are you using? Put outside as soon as warm enough so it gets lots of sun. It should be ok. I would not clip anything off. Your plant has a nice shape and needs those leaves to grow. I wonder if the plant was a cutting when you got it and it’s just starting to put out its roots. I think your plant will be fine. Buy kitty a new scratcher to distract. Although I don’t think she’s hurting the plant, you could put something to the side of it to keep her away. You don’t want her to knock it on the floor...See MoreGollum Jade help!
Comments (4)From both photos, the leaves doesn't look like it needs water. When you start to see small wrinkles on the leaves, then you can water. Some of the leaves will turn yellow and fall off which is normal if it was exposed to the cold for a period of time. The ones that are slight yellow will not turn back to green, just wait for it to fall off. You should be able to see some new growth in a few weeks. Your plant looks healthy.
