Ooohhh heather gray!!!!

The same white as the window trim and storm door ... and do keep the storm door.

Alternately, what is your favorite bold color? A black or red could work well, too. Wouldn't use a blah gray color.

You might also consider painting the top rail of your deck and the hand rails for your steps the same white.

I really like the blue that Maureen suggested. I would also remove the shutter from the large bay windows. If you have shutters then they should look as thought they work. At any rate, I think they detract from your house.

@Maureen @houssaon you have saved my exterior!!! i adore your suggestions. Any specific colour recommendations for paint and stain? First time homebuyer so clueless about this stuff!

also.... any other things you’d do to add curb appeal? We were thinking maybe having the landscaping curb around to path, and extending path? it ends so abruptly :(

Like the "blue" (not quite gray) door suggested by Maureen, especially if you can invigorate your gray wood fence and front stoop so they don't look as dried out.

You might see if you can find a large plastic rectangle planter-- one that would fit left of your stairs in front of your front stoop and then build a wood planter box in the same material as your wood fencing around it, setting the four legs on four bricks or paver stones (with the tops of the b rick or paver stones at ground level) to protect the wood legs of the planter box.

There are semi-solid stains that have color. The wood should be washed to get rid of all the dirt. I would do either a natural cedar look or medium gray stain.

If there comes a time when you need to replace the porch, steps and railing, I would do wide steps, with white risers and a iron or white wood railing. You could use composite decking for less maintenance.
