Nice space. If I am following your photos correctly, it looks like the current rug 8 by 10 size is fine and the bigger one looks good too. If you have the clearance in front of the sider, I would pull the new chair next to the sofa, front legs on the rug to make a nice conversation grouping. If not, just leave the space open and pull the lamp out a bit.

Lower the TV to just above the cabinet. You need larger art above the sofa and then you need a rug that has a bit interest to it since it will be very large. Get rid of that silly clock above the FP and replace with art.No country word art inthe mantel either. I think something more like this and then that gives you acolor to use for some pillows and other accents. You also need a lot more lighting and it will need to be LEDs in 4000K to avoid all the stuff having a yellow haze.

@deegw thanks for commenting yes the rug in the photo is an 8x10 and the last photo its the 8’6 x12 that i edit the picture just to see how would it look the rug color im gett is a cream one and its a shag one

I would go with 1st Patricia 's rug and bring some color.
