Show off your Orange/Apricot Roses, Part II
Comments (15)I second that Kathy! Beautiful roses Seil & Robert! I don't know which is my favorite: Shropshire Lad, Sisters at Heart, Hondo, Lady of Shallott... I just got some cuttings of Tamora in the mail and I'm trying to root them; boy those thorns are something fierce!!! I had no idea they were like that! Thankfully from your pictures, I can see the blooms make up for the thorns :) Tammy...See MoreNor'East Ralph Moore Roses ... got any to trade?

Comments (16)Daun, yes I do. I wish I had a bloom to show you. I can show you Precious Dream as I bought her on 10-8: Precious Dream today, 12-4: When I went in and picked up this rose I asked the manager if this was as good a rose as Julie Link and she told me absolutely. I intend to pick up another two different additional ones in the spring, I like these roses very much. My weather temps have been all over the place including a couple of 20's at night. I think the pics of this rose speak for itself. I'm impressed with how well it's doing now. I have four different colored Hybrid Bracteatas now. Out Of The Night is the other new one I have planted beside it and it even has 3 buds on it about to bloom, weather permitting. Yes, I have to sit on myself, it got so hot here early and the manager down there gives me the evil eye about buying during really hot weather, LOL* Therefore, I bought roses again in late Sept and Oct:) Anytime you want a heads up on a rose I'd be happy to go down with a camera and take a pic:) They have an extensive supplemental list. As far as Precious Dream goes, I saw the rose blooming in the nursery and it's really beautiful. Leslie...See MoreMy Ralph Moore Roses, part two
Comments (13)Thanks Daun, I added Precious Dream in Sept, that's another Hybrid Bracteata and will have the same bloom form as Julie Link but will be a soft pink. I also planted next to it Out Of The Night, which is a near white and white blend with a yellow center. There are two others I like. Lemon Pearls that is a soft yellow and Amber Gem that is a pink to orange blend that I'll probably add in the spring. Again, these are all Hybrid Bracteatas that he's introduced since 2002 to 2006. Out of his 2007 roses I selected Sequoia Ballet, a Grandiflora. I wanted it last spring but I was dissuaded from purchasing it then. I saw it in Sept and admired the bush they grow it off of and was told by the manager she was impressed by how well it did with the hot summer we had and how fast it grew even more so. I was really sorry I didn't get it in the spring. I have it now though. Hi Rainbow, yes I have plenty of lavenders, I keep trying for purple. Mauves and pinks are second, white blends are next and orange, yellows and those blends are coming in neck and neck now. These roses are only my Moore roses, I have a lot more roses than this:) Leslie...See MoreStephanie, 9b inland SoCal
