She's just beautiful. What a blessing. My first grandchild, Ewan, just turned 4 months old. I saw him yesterday for the first time in over a month but I didn't hold him.

Oh Sandy, it's awful isn't it? My sister in law has a new 6 week old granddaughter, she saw and held her the day she was born and that's it.

She is so beautiful. We were married 49 years before our first grand. We only have two but our entire life is all about those faces. Loved looking at that sweet face. She knows she is loved.

OMG, she's just adorable! You deserve to be gushing! We have a grandson, and our first granddaughter is due in June.

I do love her name but I'm somewhat biased since our son's name is Chase. :-)

I miss my Grandchildren so much. I want to hug and hold them. They seem to be growing twice as fast in my absence. I am missing milestones.

It really is hard Katian. I was in the delivery room when Ewan was born and had seen him at least weekly since then, til mid March. I was just happy he didn't scream or cry when he saw me yesterday! lol

Katlan, the hospital told our daughter something we didn't expect. Her baby's due June 21, and they said as it stands right now with the virus situation, our son-in-law won't be allowed in the delivery room for the baby's birth. Not only that, they said there's a chance he won't be allowed in the building. That will be hard for them!

I had the privilege of watching Chase be born also. It was a miracle.

I hope we all get to squeeze our grandbabies soon!

Chloe I have heard of this happening. I can't imagine how hard that would be. Kind of don't get it, mom and dad have been around each other the whole time. If one has it the other probably does also. If they stay in the same room, no back and forth, in and out.....

The greatest gift from God, you will be forever happy with her in your life. She's beyond adorable.

Here in BC Canada people are choosing clinics over hospitals. I'm not sure if the men are allowed to come in with their partners for the birth experience though. The next option is home birth.

My first child was a home birth. My next child was a hospital. I much prefer the home birth. Both my children's births were uncomplicated. Of course my doctor was in attendance for both.

She's a sweetheart! That first year always goes so quickly, no matter how we try to slow it down.

Time flies, when they are growing. Mine is 23 and fond memories when he entered this world. ENJOY your beautiful sweet one!

Home birth wouldn't have been good for us, 58+ years ago. We were fortunate that there was a (Presbyterian U.S., i.e. Southern) mission hospital 12 miles away in Chun joo, southwest Korea, for Sue's passage was so narrow that both she and the babe would have died were no Caesarean available.

Could Bruce have become a triple country citizen? We didn't pursue it with Korean rules, but I rather doubt whether Korean citizenship was available for a babe with a U.S. mother and a Canadian father.

They'd been known as "The Hermit Kingdom" till about 80 years earlier, then had been under Japanese rule for 40 years prior to World War II, so were very thankful for their renewed independence.

Chase is adorable! I can empathize with all the grandparents out there who are missing spending time with their sweet grandbabies. I haven't seen mine since the end of Feb., other than in family Zoom calls. We were supposed to spend 10 days at Disney World, staring next weekend, with my DD, her hubby and our 3 grandchildren. We'd picked that time, since it was to celebrate DD's wedding Anniversary, Mother's Day, and our little granddaughter's first birthday.

Now I expect DD will dress her for our Zoom call, in the little Cinderella dress she would have been wearing at her Disney World birthday dinner. I'll ask DD if she'll let me share a pic. katlan, you gush all you want over your precious, sweet granddaughter, and I know you'll more than make up for lost kisses and cuddles, once you can see her again!!

Amicus that's just heartbreaking that you miss your Disney trip with your family.

katlan, yes, we'd all been saving up to afford a 10 day dream trip to Disney World, since our last 'vacation' together, was for DD's destination wedding in Ireland, 8 years ago. So it was heartbreaking to have this long planned trip together, cancelled. But given the choice of missing our trip, or remaining in good health, of course we realize that nothing matters more than eliminating Covid19 illness and fatalities. So though very disappointed, we've also been very lucky!

How did I miss this? She is adorable! Hopefully it won't be too much longer before you can hug her.
