Comments (1)The 400 series in the Okna has a more simple exterior. The Composite (Starmark) also has a very angular and simple frame profile. Sunrise is more colonial (i.e. trim like) exterior as well like the Okna 500....See Moremid century modern ranch EXTERIOR
Comments (7)All the suggestions for whole house and yard is too much for a single thread. For landscaping, start another thread for front yard and a separate one for back yard. For each, take photos the better display the areas in question. For the front yard, line the camera up with the front door and be no no more than about 30' away. from that one spot take a series of slightly overlapping photos that pan from far left to far right. You'll want to include space beyond the left and right of the house such that the neighboring houses are shown in the background. For the back yard, use the same principle but line up with the center of the house. Be about 25' or 30' away from it. Be sure to capture the complete width from lot line to lot line....See MoreNeed help with mid century ranch exterior entrance and more
Comments (15)Maybe a bigger project that you envision, but I would replace the porch surface with brick, add a broad, deep step off the porch and an equally wide brick walk to the street. Take out the odd little brick bed next to the house and use those bricks for the step, if nothing else. You could also remove all the brick bed areas and use them on the porch.Or you could replace the brick with concrete and face it with your own bricks sawn into 3 pieces to use as facing bricks. Pick up on that orange brick near the step to paint the front doors ochre or sienna. I would paint all the trim, porch siding, column and garage in back with a soft white like those two bricks just below the left corner of the front window. Replace or move your house numbers to the column or to the brick wall opposite it. Other than the azaleas, which I always love, I would replace any non-blooming plants with more azaleas or with low growing evergreen shrubbery that will stay below the windows without you having to maintain it....See MoreDesign Advice Needed: Exterior Ranch to Mid Century Remodel
Comments (11)Does the brick have gray in it? I think you can do a darker roof and take a color cue from that. I would remove some of theyews and add other flowering bushes and add a row of low growing plants for more texture and color. I like the iron posts and would not chnage them other than to coordinate the color....See MoreRelated Professionals
