not yet, but I've measured the main shelf for one. I put 2@ 16" in my pantry and want to get another for in there also. And I have 2@ 11" in each of the upper cabinets on either side of my stove (bottom shelves). they work great and have helped me a lot.

We use several throughout the kitchen including refrigerator, pantry, cabinets.

Even though our pantry has roll out trays the rotating tray makes selections much easier. We use one in cabinet for spice and seasonings.

In the bathrooms, we keep two rotating trays under vanity on roll out tray. Personal care products and cleaning products are separated by rotating trays.

Inexpensive conveniences.

I use 5 in the garage.

Wow I never thought of that. I do have a couple of dollar store baskets that I put my small condiment jars in. Easy to slide the basket forward and take out what I want.

Two lazy susan cupboards, but not in my Refrigerator.

The ones made for refrigerators has 3" - 4" sides to keep things in place.

I have one in my refrigerator, and I love it. While most condiments are on the door shelves, the Susan holds the cottage cheese, yogurt, mayo, applesauce, sour cream, other things in similar packaging. We love it. Nothing gets lost at the back. It has a lip, not high sides. It takes up most of one shelf in our side-by-side, but it makes the shelf way more useable than without it.

I have a couple of Fridge Binz in the freezer, one for bags of vegetables, one for potatoes (fries, tots etc), and one for meat.

The spice cabinet is narrow, 11", so the 3 lazy Susans let us get to all the spices easily.

Like Michael, we have divided lazy Susan's under the bathroom sinks for cleaning supplies, and I have two for all kinds of my bathroom stuff.

When I was in high school (I graduated June 1967), our refrigerator had rotating shelves. They were flat across the front, and when the door was closed, it looked like any other fridge. I don't know what brand it was, but I just did a quick search for "refrigerator with rotating shelves" and got this -- it's a GE. Ours was probably a GE, too, but who knows. Anyway, I have always thought that this is the way refrigerator shelves should be.

I don't care for them - too much lost space.

We have a rotating section at a 90 degree corner in our kitchen cabinet but find it awkward to use. We have no problem with shallow cupboards and many drawers. And a slide out tray under the primary sink. I wouldn't want them in the fridge but everyone is different.

I have two in our corner cabinet but have never heard of ones in the fridge.

i use it for my pots and pans and it’s very convenient.

I still have the double decker on that my husband loved. I have a hard time visualizing one in a refrigerator even with the higher sides that some has mentioned. It would take up too much room. Low sided if you spin to quickly can cause the contents to topple over. High sides easy for something to fall into and get lost. It uses to much space because it makes it harder to place things around it.

eld, here’s a “without” and a “with”. Without, things in the back are not easily accessible. And if that sour cream were to get pushed to the back, it would turn really sour before we found it again!

After, while it might not look as tidy from the front, everything is easily accessible with a little spin. Elmer will point out that with the susan, I have to stack a couple of things. True. But I can see them, and the stack is usually temporary, like that little container of beef broth that will get used tonight.

Elmer, while a susan can seem to give less usable space, the space it takes up is more usable. There are applications where a susan is not appropriate, and some where it is ideal. That’s why I use it on only one shelf, where it does us good. And in my spice cabinet, which is about 11” square; things get too lost at the back.

We store yogurts and condiments on rotating trays. Logical for us.

A refrigerator, besides an LG, with a slide out tray would be nice.

Funny that it's called lazy Susan when it's really pretty hard-working!

I never thought about putting one in the fridge! And I have seen those rotator fridges from the 50s/60s. I think they didn't endure because people wound up spilling things a lot.

I have several in my cupboards and find them very helpful, since the shelves are very deep. My fridge is deep too and it can be a pain to have to reach over to get stuff from the back. Hubby is not very good at it and is forever knocking stuff over.

Lindsey, we had a fridge like that except the shelves were glass. My mom still had it when she passed in 2001. I loved it! I was afraid it wouldn’t survive the move so I didn’t get it.

Yes. It looks like about 1/3 of the shelf space can't be used.

The Without picture shows lots of space for more things. You've spread out what's there, it makes the shelf look fuller than it is.

The stuff on the With shelf is stacked and crammed together. There's room for more on the Without shelf, while the With shelf seems to be at capacity.

I think your photos demonstrate the trade-off.

Sometimes convenience, functionality and accessibility trumps square footage in a working space. If space were always the main consideration kitchens would not have drawers, pull-outs or in some cases, even shelves.

yes, I think it does. in the past 2 yrs or so I've been changing a number of things in my house to a more convenient way for the older me, making things easier to access. I tried out one of my turntables in my fridge (with stuff on it) and found I could reach the things on it easily. as is now so many things get pushed to the back and I forget about them and then they spoil and end up in the trash. and no more digging in the pantry for something that got pushed to the back. I want easy access, I don't want to be spending time digging to the back of a cabinet or shelf or needing to use a step stool to reach it. I put a small one on a shelf next to my bed for my meds and daily supplements. It makes it so much easier to turn that thing around to get the ones I need at the time. I've made a number of changes like buying the IP and AF - makes things much easier and quicker.

Elmer, yes, it’s true that we can fit more on the shelf without the susan. And we did. And we could reach a third of it easily. Even with only the setup like in my picture, we would find it hard to reach things at the back, and the sour cream would likely drift to the back and turn green. Taking something out of the back, if we remembered it was there, or could see it, involved removing several other items and knocking things over.

Like I said, it works for some applications and people, and not for others. We use it only on that shelf, not the others, for an expressed purpose.

We’ve never had a side-by-side before, and don’t like it because we find it too narrow. We find it hard to move anything to one side to access what’s behind it. I never felt like I needed a Susan in wider refrigerator. And if we have to replace this fridge, we will probably get one with a bottom freezer, wider fridge shelves, and not use the lazy Susan at all.

ETA: The base of my susan squares off on one side, to provide lateral stability on the shelf. I have to turn it to the side, because if I turn it to the back or front it rests on the lip of the shelfm so it isn’t flat which affects the ease of the spin. If I could have the squared-off part to the back, I’d have room along the side for skinny things like beer, where I’m happy to take the one at the front and not reach behind for a different one. Of course, it would also help if the shelf itself extended a bit more to the sides or back, but that would affect the circulation of the cold air, I guess.
